What would Obamas job creation look like without Texas

Wthout Florida and Ohio we wouldn't have been 8 years of disaster.

Here is some truth, Business Insider reported:

•Of jobs created in Texas since 2007, 81 percent were taken by newly arrived immigrant workers (legal and illegal).
•In terms of numbers, between the second quarter of 2007, right before the recession began, and the second quarter of 2011, total employment in Texas increased by 279,000. Of this, 225,000 jobs went to immigrants (legal and illegal) who arrived in the United States in 2007 or later.
•Of newly arrived immigrants who took a job in Texas, 93 percent were not U.S. citizens. Thus government data show that more than three-fourths of net job growth in Texas were taken by newly arrived non-citizens (legal and illegal).
•The large share of job growth that went to immigrants is surprising because the native-born accounted for 69 percent of the growth in Texas’ working-age population (16 to 65). Thus, even though natives made up most of the growth in potential workers, most of the job growth went to immigrants.
•The share of working-age natives holding a job in Texas declined significantly, from 71 percent in 2007 to 67 percent in 2011. This decline is very similar to the decline for natives in the United States as a whole and is an indication that the situation for native-born workers in Texas is very similar to the overall situation in the country despite the state’s job growth.
•Of newly arrived immigrants who took jobs in Texas since 2007, we estimate that 50 percent (113,000) were illegal immigrants. Thus, about 40 percent of all the job growth in Texas since 2007 went to newly arrived illegal immigrants and 40 percent went to newly arrived legal immigrants.
•Immigrants took jobs across the educational distribution. More than one out three (97,000) of newly arrived immigrants who took a job had at least some college.
•These numbers raise the question of whether it makes sense to continue the current high level of legal immigration and also whether to continue to tolerate illegal immigration

This information maybe true, but to thr bottom line of BHO numbers is the thread, not TX and there issues with immigrants

Actually we'd be a good deal better without most of the Republican state houses...they cut 600,000 public sector jobs in the last few years.

Gee, Wytch...since State governments can't legally run deficits but are required to balance their budgets...and the States don't have even close to the revenues they need to pay their bills...public sector jobs were going to be cut no matter WHO was in the state houses. Those jobs should have been cut back two years ago but were "saved" by the Obama stimulus. Funny how 600,000 jobs have been cut in the last few years and things still run just fine. Think maybe our public sector was a bit bloated and overstaffed? But as a progressive you of course think we should NEVER lay off public sector workers...right?

um, where would Texas be without the obama stimulus?

Perry also likes to trumpet that his state balanced its budget in 2009, while keeping billions in its rainy day fund.

But he couldn't have done that without a lot of help from ... guess where? Washington.
Turns out Texas was the state that depended the most on those very stimulus funds to plug nearly 97% of its shortfall for fiscal 2010, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Even budget deficits are bigger in Texas
Texas, which crafts a budget every two years, was facing a $6.6 billion shortfall for its 2010-2011 fiscal years. It plugged nearly all of that deficit with $6.4 billion in Recovery Act money, allowing it to leave its $9.1 billion rainy day fund untouched.
Texas balanced budget with stimulus money from Washington - Jan. 23, 2011

texas should be thanking us for giving him the stimulus money to pay off their spending debt!

without these 2 Obama would look bad, its that simple

North Dakota?

So without all those jobs created around the gas and oil industry, Obama would look bad?

LOLOLOL.

All those oil and gas jobs created on private and State land that Obama and his progressives didn't have control over. Now contrast that to oil and gas job creation in the Gulf of Mexico that Barry and his minions DID have control of. In a nutshell that's the difference between Obama as President and whoever the Republicans nominate as President. With one we'll get jobs...with the other we'll get no jobs with the added bonus of higher gas and energy prices.

What would Obamas job creation look like without Texas

Still more than Bush was able to create in 8 years. That's what. BTW, what would TX jobs numbers look like without fed money? Fair question.

Politics and Money: Job Creation: Bush vs. Obama
As of Oct. 2011...
Job Creation: Bush vs. Obama

During the Bush presidency, net total employment went up by 1.08 million jobs. So far, during the Obama presidency, total employment has been reduced by 3.3 million jobs.

Under Bush, private employment shrank by 673,000 jobs, federal employment grew by 50,000 jobs, and government employment grew by 1,753,000 jobs.

Under Obama, the private sector has shed some 2.9 million jobs while the federal government has grown by 40,000 (after growing massively, the federal workforce shrank throughout the summer). Total government jobs, however, shrank by 357,000 jobs, mainly because of cuts at the state and local levels.

Actually without Texes per-capaital/the unemployment rate would be better because on average Texas job growth is lower then the national but I do realize you are stupid and think a state with 40million people creating 50,000 jobs has a better economy then on with 10million people creating 25,000 jobs
