One, call your sheriff and make him aware of what is going on, particularly in the Las Vegas and Elko areas.

Two, write a letter to the editor saying property owners who contract for these devices are liable for their misuse.

Three, inform the companies that engage in this practice should not be practicing in your neighborhoods. Just a friendly warning, you know.

You are correct, It is, in hindsight, however the risk is relatively low if placed in the "proper" locales. Most of the time it's just a Mexican (illegal) or the stray family pet that ends up the victim.
Someone should answer for this type of thing.

Or, if you're a child will bring you right to it as children are attracted by bright objects. Like I said, the idea that any entity would use this sort of device is ridiculous.
