What is Climate Denial costing the US?

You're an idiot. The people who buy the product receive a subsidy, usually in the form of a tax deduction or a tax credit. If government buys the product, then the taxpayers are still footing the bill. The bottom line is that a large fraction of the revenue from "green energy" comes from the taxpayers. Without government money the "green energy" industry would disappear. This has nothing to do with "free trade" or "free enterprise." There's nothing "free" about it. It's a government created market.

You really aren't getting this, are you?

Most power companies in western countries are private. They are the clients.

Not a subsidy in sight.

Private companies forced by government to buy green energy. Great idea, LOL!
Well, you know how it is. They are told their losses will be good for them by their socialist overlords in Congress.

Germans can tell you exactly how much it will cost...but it`s all in German and a waste of time to translate because the warmist reality deniers won`t read it anyway.
Here is a Deutsche Welle TV video but it deals mostly just with the destruction of wild life habitat to make room for the gigantic pump basins that are necessary for "green energy" to give you a power on demand grid
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckux7edN6Tg"]Pumped storage power plant - Ecological energy depot in the Black Forest | Made in Germany - YouTube[/ame]

Last year I uploaded a video that explains it in detail how outrageous the cost and the destruction is. It`s in German...I translated the key points but the warmist reality deniers were too stupid to connect the dots, the obvious & visual ones that I wrongly assumed even the dumbest would comprehend without me translating ever word that was spoken

But here is what it`s been costing in $$$ so far to Australians,...and I don`t have to translate it:
http://www.au.agwscam.com/pdf/Why%20the%20ETS%20is%20Useless%20-%20Leon.pdf

Frontier Modelling says it will cost Australia
• $50 Billion per year for 40 years
• That’s $4,550 per taxpayer per year.
• An amount of CO2 reduction that everyone
agrees will do nothing for the planet

Spain has been moving towards
a renewable energy economy
and now has 19%
unemployment, whilst the real
cost of power has risen 100 %

Al Gore says the Science is settled and 2,500
IPCC scientists agree CO2 causes climate
change.
Is this true?
Not exactly – Of the 2,500 Scientists who
have submitted papers to the IPCC, only
600 looked at the science involving CO2.
Of that 600, only 308 were a part of the
second review process.
Of that 308, only 62 reviewed the last
chapter which looked at what to attribute the
cause of Climate change to.
Of that 62 only 7 reviewers were
independent; and
Of the 7, 2 did not agree with the final
statement saying they believed there was
a 90% certainty CO2 caused climate
change.
So the major statement of the review saying what
climate change can be attributed to was supported by
just 5 independent scientists - a few less than 2,500
On the other hand there are over 31,000 independent US
scientists who have signed a petition saying there is no
conclusive evidence CO2 causes global warming

Actually Germany exports most of its coal, but it has massive mines. It does not have any natural gas reserves.

Germany now produces more than 20% of its electricity from renewables.

I think they are wong to phase out nuclear, but I respect their reasoning anyway.

By 2030, we should see all EU countries producing at least 30% of their electricity from renewables, with much of the rest coming from nuclear and hydro. Coal will be phased out by then, presumably.

This isn't a difficult topic to understand if you try and focus and take it seriously.

i produce all of my electricity from renewables

A + for you, Spoonman! :)

i have to tell you, installing the solar was the best thing i ever did. My utility bill every month went from you owe $$$$$$ to you have a credit of $$$$$

Wow. I have a 5,000 square foot horse arena on my property, and the roof's starting to leak. That'd be a great place to put solar panels and fix the roof at the same time. The swimming pool has not been used because the energy bills came back $300 a month higher with a filter running all the time. The liner was leaking anyway. *sigh.*
Decisions, decisions. :(

you will want ot make sure the roof is reenforced enough to hold the weight of the panels and the stress put on them in a heavy wind. but you have more than enough roof space to cover your total energy needs. even if you did just a few panels to cover your etraordiary usage like the pool.

was the liner bad enough it was unpatchable? i made the mistake of letting my kids ice skate on our pool one winter when it was frozen. that summer i had to patch about 30 skate blade cuts

How nice...and how many hundred years will it take for your "credit of $$$" to pay for the cost of the solar panels it takes to supply power on demand for your house? Then you must also have a huge battery bank so that your Mickey mouse power inverter does not beep out when you turn on the toaster.
Wait and see how many re-charge cycles it takes before these batteries are useless and then we`ll see if your "credit of $$$$$" can keep pace with how often you have to buy new batteries.
You must live where it never gets cold. I`ve got over a foot of snow on my roof right now. But at least I can go up there with a snow shovel before the roof collapses and walk around without crunching expensive solar panels.
Did you take out insurance in case you get a thunderstorm with golf ball sized hail?
