What happened when I refused Tetanus vaccine

Good grief, you get a whole stack of information when you get the vaccination that tells you what's in it, how it works, and what the risks are.

And you have to sign paperwork that says you received the information.

Just because YOU don't understand how it works or what's in it doesn't mean it's evil. Vaccinations come with a certain risk, they always have. But the things we vaccinate against pose bigger risks still..and that includes influenza. People in developed countries are so protected these days that they dismiss the dangers of influenza, tetanus, diptheria, pertussis without having ANY idea how quickly people can die of those diseases..and how quickly some of them can mutate to become even more deadly.

Seriously---how can you say that the risk of getting tetanus is higher than the risk of the effects of over vaccination ? Unless you have some data to prove that you're simply guessing and hoping for the best. They are also financial issues to consider. Additionally the events that causes things to mutate are often the very things that we one used with such confidence.
Sweden is now recommending a 30 year period between tetanus vaccinations. Are they complete imbeciles or do you think they may just be onto something ?

My son stepped on a nail when he was a child. He got a tetanus shot and it nearly killed him. It turns out he's allergic. It was touch and go for several days before he was out of danger. He now wears a bracelet. He was told to not step on any more nails.

Actually if you wash the wound very well and drown it in hydrogen peroxide your chance of any kind of infection is very low. Especially if it bleeds a lot.
