Me? About 12 or 11.

Yeah I was probably a freshmen in HS or so when the parents started telling me just do whatever they say and worry about anything illegal they may try later in court. Of course my mother was a lawyer though, so...

My father was in the Military...him and mother sat me down and told me not to make any sudden moves, be respectful, we'll get you out if it comes to that etc etc. Not so lucky to have a lawyer as a mom but I remember thinking "Why are we having this talk?" like I just wanted to be a kid and wasnt into anything illegal but the neighborhood I grew up in was known to have Jump Out Squads who would lock up everybody and ask questions later

In the end what it comes down to is that the police are not your friends. We're all nothing but stereotypes to them. If a confrontation happens, just cooperate and hope someone is recording everything.

This is just too funny. If black parents would just raise their children the right way, they wouldn't need this talk. The majority of violent crimes are committed by a MINORITY of blacks. They brought this mess on themselves. They need to fix it. Simple as that.

k.

So would you say you feel privileged to have been born white?

See what stereotypes do to people? This guy just summed it up...blacks aren't afforded the opportunity to be individuals. There is black crime and that means blacks have failed all over. Different for white crime tho

It's not a stereotype. It's the truth. Blacks are responsible for the majority of violent crime. And blacks have failed all over. That's why it's such a problem. This is a direct result of all of the single parent homes that black children are raised in. Things will only change if the black community, as a whole, decides that they need to change how they live their lives and raise their children.

Black commit crime = all blacks commit crime is the stereotype. And figuring that once crime goes away then people won't stereotype anymore is pie in the sky shit...because there will never be no crime.

So thanks for presenting a reasonable goal.

Remember when white people didn't commit crimes and there was peace all over?

THATS why cops don't stereotype them.

Even tho that time never happened this guy is saying that's the solution to bigots. Be better and bigots will change. ..it's not the bigots fault

My next door neighbor is black...in fact both my next door neighbors are black. Best guys in the world. Came out of the hood/ projects. Went military. Carrying themselves with respect is huge to them. First blacks I have ever been close to. That's the solution...no more "neighborhoods". Having said that...every conversation we have...and we have had many...ends up quickly at race...no getting away from it. I never realized how aware they are of being black...but who can blame them? It will take generations...and interest....interest to understand.

Ha ha ha "this is about coming home alive" too funny. " the talk" ha ha ha

You people act like it's cops that kill blacks 94% instead of black criminals killing blacks 94% if the time.

Anyway my parents never had to give me "the talk" ha ha ha I was always smart enough to respect the authority of police officers at all times.

No we are aware that bad guys are bad guys. Thats pretty obvious but the talk is because cops are supposed to be the good guys.

Think about it without race ok.....You talk to your children about people touching them. They are bad people. But when you have to have a talk to your child about a family member touching them its different. They're supposed to be good.

You should ask a black person instead of acting as if your ignorance of blacks is something that is funny. Ignorance isnt funny. Its like me going ha ha ha you people talk about getting burned in the sun when smoke kills people faster than fires ha ha ha

Black people are full of shit. I know this because I grew up around them. They need to stop pretending they are vicitims. The only black people that have problems with police are criminals. Black people should be kissing the ass of the police, instead all they do is complain and ignore their real problems.

All you do is play the victim card. It doesn't do you any good or anyone else any good. You know what people do good things for blacks? Cops, so stop bashing them and get your shit together.

All black kids need "the talk".

Which is in reality a talk about adapting to the norms of living in a civilized society.

Most whites and asian kids do not need the talk because their cultures have been civilized for many centuries.

Whereas, black people up until 4 or 5 generation ago, where still living in grass huts in the jungle and being chased by lions and other wild animals.

So in essence, they still have a jungle mentality buried deep in their subconscience. Which will require several more generations for them to become fully domesticated. ......
