It's that little 'D' after his name that makes all the difference in the world.

Not true. There are some real dickheads in the Democratic congress. Screech-mouth Pelosi and pink-tutu Reid top the list for me; there are a number of others.

Wexler was not one of these. He is dedicated and sincere, and his constituents love him. The House will lose a good servant. Still, I wish him Godspeed in his new endeavor.

Spitzer resigned because he was gonna get charged with a crime. Lets talk about how a certain Congressman from Louisiana was almost promoted before being charged, shall we? The democrats have a long history of not only not resigning when caught but being reelected and cheered as heros for being crooks and fucking interns.

Vitter committed the exact same crime Spitzer did, yet he's still in office. Ensign also violated the law. What actions have been taken against them? O wait, none.
Jeffferson, on the other hand, was stripped of his committee assignments and the party ran another candidate in the district in the following election (who Jefferson, somehow, was able to defeat).

I've heard that too. Won't be great for Obama if true. While a 'true liberal', he's very committed to Israel, something that appears more than a tad missing from the administration.

Wexler has said so publicly. The right is saying Obama isn't committed to Israel because of calling for a freeze on settlement activity. Wexler also supports a freeze and feels the Obama adminstration has balanced the pressure on both parties properly.
