We're In a Recovery?

we need to get back to 70% of r&d funding coming from the government as we were in the 50's and 60s. We need to reform education and enforce the anti-trust laws.

Lastly, if you care so much about debt we need to end the wars, repeal the tax cuts and fix our healthcare system.
Repeal all the unfair "free trade " agreements that have allowed cheap goods into this country made with slave labor and put the tariff laws back in place and of course, do away with the foreign owned Federal Reserve central banking system that has been sucking this country dry like a parasite since 1913.

Yes, cutting ourselves off from the rest of the world make us number one for a long time to come. The rest of the world will be so hurt by our actions, lmao! What will happen is that the rest of the world will just pass us by. We are dealing with a world economy now. Those of you who don't want to acknowledge that will only try to doom us with your protectionist ideology.

So what you are saying is that the flood of cheap goods made by cheap/slave labor into this country with no tariff protection is a good thing? We do not need the "rest of the world" to sustain ourselves and we never have. The globalists have intentionally dismantled our manufacturing abilities in order to comply with draconian environmental laws that have given way to the loss of blue collar jobs that provided a living wage while the countries that don't have to comply are free to do "whatever". You are seriously clueless on how things work.....

There is a very big difference between negotiating good trade deals versus isolating ourselves from the rest of the world. Ask those who work at companies like Caterpillar if they would like to see us put large tariffs on everything coming into this country.

PEORIA, Ill., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Caterpillar Inc.
(NYSE: CAT) today commended President Bush's decision to lift tariffs on
imported steel.
"With the tariffs in place over the past 19 months, the U.S. steel
industry has taken steps to consolidate and improve its competitiveness,"
Caterpillar Chairman and CEO Glen Barton said. "By making the decision to
lift the tariffs now, President Bush has removed the risk of more than
$2 billion in potential retaliatory actions by the European Union against U.S.
products."
As a leading U.S. exporter, Caterpillar has a long history of advocating
for expanded free trade. The company believes both the U.S. and global
economy will benefit from this decision.

You have a very different perspective which I see as being completely wrong. As for your assertion that I am clueless, it is obvious that you are not very bright, because you have no idea of the effects of causation. When someone does not agree with you, it does not always make them stupid. Sometimes it just means that you are stupid.
Those that are working "part-time" is because of Barrypuppetcare and have to stay under 30 hours.
That's just a GOP scripted hate radio LIE, swallowed by people too lazy and stupid to check the facts!
When the ACA was passed there were 9,233,000 working PT who wanted FT work, there are 6,086,000 now, a DECLINE of over 3 million.
The vast majority of people working PT are working PT because they ONLY want to work PT.

Please provide a link because I don't believe that to be the case at all. I have quite a few friends that had their hours scaled back even in 2012 in anticipation of Barrypuppetcare...in the mean time, peruse this article as it pretty much sums up the crap we are in from my pint of view.....btw, don't ever try and pigeonhole me or categorize me by saying I am left or right. Ahh yes, that "isolationist" tag to demonize anyone that questions the fairness of shitty free trade agreements like NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT and the recently passed TPP that will kill even more decent paying jobs. Frankly, I don't give a shit what Caterpillar wants and it doesn't have to be large tariffs but rather FAIR tariffs. The steel industry was the first victim of the Club of Rome, an offshoot of the U.N and Committee of 300 whose sole purpose was to take down the middle class of the United States because they were a threat to the oligarchical powers that really run this shitty planet. You might want to do some research on them and the "Zero Growth" plan that they proposed...it will be an eye-opener. They targeted the steel plants then the textiles industry, then the auto industry and then using environmental laws and OSHA, they started targeting other manufacturers until they said "fuck it" and moved their industries to third world countries with cheap labor and less environmental restrictions.

No, I have over 12,000 hours of reading and research that tells me that I am right and you are wrong and you are indeed "clueless".....maybe not intentionally but that is where I come in.... to help you see what is really happening and it is only going to get worse unless the sheeple wake up.

Hey, moron....none of the Barrypuppetcare acts, statutes and codes went into affect on March 23rd of 2010. I have friends that had their hours cut starting in 2012 before even the personal mandate kicked in and Barrypuppet put off the employer mandate until 2016 because he and his cronies just make it up as they go if it is politically expedient.... but back in 2012, no one knew when all of these rules would kick in so they started cutting hours and when the employer mandate does kick in and every insurance plan has to pass the ACA "sniff test", you are going to see a shedding of full-time jobs that will be absolutely astounding.

This is what I love about dumb-assed Wing-nuts, even after you give them the data, they just continue to lie even though the very data you just gave them exposes their "new" lie. They think because they are too stupid and lazy to check the data for 2012 to the present that everyone is as stupid and lazy as them, even the person who just gave them the data.

In Jan 2012 there were 8,291,000 working PT who wanted FT work and there are 6,086,000 now, a DECLINE of over 2 million.
If you want to start with Dec 2012 there were 7,926,000 working PT who wanted FT work and there are 6,086,000 now, a DECLINE of just under 2 million.

Those that are working "part-time" is because of Barrypuppetcare and have to stay under 30 hours..they are doing it because they have no other choice and some actually work two part-time jobs.
Wait, are you trying to say that there were no part time workers and no one worked multiple jobs before Obamacare?
And in any case, since the ACA passed in March 2010, the number of part time workers has stayed about the same, and those working part time for economic reasons has dropped. Multiple job holders has gone up slightly.
Part time for Economic Reasons
Multiple Job Holders

The facts that you are alleging doesn't address the fact that jobs are scarce,
And yet the number of jobs has been going up for a while. And job openings as well:

I'll never stop telling the truth about infrastructure and science not causing our problems as they're getting the least per capita since the 40's. Gutting these two areas will hurt our economy and for what? Because you have some stupid retarded belief system that tells us to live in caves.

Logically, there's many things we could do like getting out of the wars, repealing the tax cuts and limiting welfare well before we cut a cent from these areas.

I am infinitely more aware of how things actually work than you.... even on your best day. You cling to a failed ideology based on emotion rather than common sense. Your kind suffers from arrested development and you would rather cut your nose off to spite your face than admit error. Your kind is all about serving the collective even if personal liberties are sacrificed because it's all for "the greater good" ...as if you are the authorities on what that "greater good" actually is. I do not care for neocons that would defend the Bush crime family but at least they have conviction in their beliefs...pseudo liberals/ Fabian socialists? They are by far the sorriest pieces of shit on God's green earth and frankly, I wouldn't piss on one if they were on fire and I had a full bladder and had to walk down wind a 100 yards to keep the mist of my piss from dampening the flames. I got past making excuses for stupid fucks like you and your ilk. I don't even try to understand the retarded thinking that permeates the demcrat party of sniveling pussies and fools..hope this helps...nah, on second thought, go fuck yourself.)

I don't know why such a big difference in your two BLS charts? One says 28M part time workers and the other says 6K?

I believe 28M based on workforce of 160M.

I need a pill.

btw, don't ever try and pigeonhole me or categorize me

hard??? cut the corporate tax to $0 and the cap gains tax to $0 and you have $billion and billions more for those inclined to be innovative!! Gee the liberal got another one wrong. What a surprise. Ask yourself, do you want to be a liberal all your life?

Oh Ed, I love it when you pretend to understand entrepreneurs. Let's roll play, I have a great idea for a new business, I go lenders but they all want a personal guarantee and the equity in my home to lend me the money to take that risk. And I need to quit my job to take that risk. Plus, I'm sitting in secular stagnation and worried about losing my house, sending my kids to college and retiring. But you (Mr. Never an Entrepreneur) think that a tax rate on earnings is going to make a difference. I likely won't pay any taxes for the first three years and have a 50/50 shot of bankruptcy - but you think I should be worried about taxes.

Ed, can you show me one single entrepreneur who ever made the leap or not based on tax rates?

DEAR, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ENTREPRENEURSHIP. And you never will until you are one.

Bingo! The other misconception is that the wealthy are the ones starting new businesses. That is actually quite rare. Most new businesses are started by average everyday people who think they have a great idea or think they can provide the same product or service at a better price, and sometimes it's just by pure luck that they stumble upon something that takes off. Just ask Mark Zuckerberg.
And they get the money, how?
But entrpreneurship is not just starting businesses from scratch. It is about buying existing busineses to grow as well. And yes tax rates play a part in those decisions.

I don't know of any wealthy people who decided to stop trying to make more money because they thought the tax rates were too high. You do realize if that were the case, then we would have been sunk back in the 50's when the top rate was 90%. Of course, you also don't have a clue that nobody actually pays high tax rates, because there are so many ways around paying them. The fact is that most of the wealthy pay less than average middle class Americans, but you buffoons keep going back to the well crying that they pay too much. Regardless of the top rate, the wealthy have never paid anywhere close to the top rate at any time this past century. The sad thing is that you should know this.

STFU...you don't even have a clue on how the federal income tax works or where it goes......here's a hint....it doesn't go towards paying for social programs or making your life better...bet me and lose on this one, little fella.....

OMG, you are a tinfoiler! LMAO! Does the money go into the Illuminati pockets and then to a secret vault? LMAO!

Actually, I don't live on this board like some of you do. It is the holidays and thus I had family in town. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 was the same year as the Federal Income Tax law...coincidence? Not hardly. Did you know that the IRS is actually a Puerto Rican Trust, privately owned and is a collection arm of the International Monetary Fund? They are the same bankers that own every central bank (including USA.INC), the Global Bank and Bank For International Settlements. Did you know that America is actually a corporation and all states, every city and almost every town and burg is a corporation that you can look up on Dun and Bradstreet. Not only is the United States a corporation, but the “Judicial Branch of US Govt” is also a Delaware Corporation (Delaware SoS file number: 3383789), listed in Dun & Bradstreet: “The following is the DUNS number for JUDICIAL BRANCH OF US GOV: DUNS number: 956858625”, as well. The “Judicial Branch of US Govt” (corporation) includes: “U.S. GOV’T LAW COURT ADMIN SUPREME & U.S. DISTRICT, APPELLATE, VETERANS PROBATE, BANKRUPTCY, STATE(S) COURTS, INC.” So our courts from the Supreme Court down to state courts are corporate “policy” (as in police) courts. When you go into a court and you see the gold fringe on the flag, you are entering an Admiralty court and unless you understand Black's Law dictionary, you can't possibly defend yourself because "persons" under Black's Law dictionary has never different meaning than what you think it is. I have invested a lot of time and effort learning how things really work....unlike most of you that get your information from the corporate controlled media that only lets you know what they want you to know.

LMAO!

Dale was so embarrassed he never came back to defend his position

Dale was so embarrassed he never came back to defend his position that tax revenue does not fund social programs.
Our income tax does not fund this corporate entity that is USA.INC......fact. It goes to pay interest to the Federal Reserve foreign owned bankers....your labor is collateral on a debt that you are not even responsible for. We pay a plethora of other taxes and fees that funds this for profit corporate entity. You see? I know more than you do......
