BP Oil Spill: Where Did All The Crude Go? Mother Nature Breaks Down Slick in Gulf of Mexico - ABC News

I thought the gulf was covered in 3 feet thick of oil or something. Where's it going? Why are they having such a hard time finding the oil now?

I don't trust the source, so either one of two things is going on here.

1. The environment is better than we are for cleaning up oilspills and has done the best possible job breaking down the slicks so the krill and plankton can eat it and clean it up faster than we ever could dream... and thereby debunking all the econazi's threat inflation in a relatively short term.

2. It's an effort to minimize the political damage done to the incompetent or saboteur administration who fucked up the clean up effort and this oil's going to resurface later or be an even bigger problem.

It could be that both are true, of course, but considering the source, no matter the truth, it's been slanted pro Green and P-BO.

anyone thinking that crude is gone is a total idiot.....look at prince william sound...there is still oil there...
yeah, burried under nature's detrius being broken down.

Saw a documentary on oil spills a few years back. They reported from a beach in France that suffered a bad oil spill. It had occurred 15 years before. They had to dig down 2-3 feet to find any oil. So what?

In Peshtigo WI, the forest fire in 1871 turned the dirt itself into asphalt. That is buried a foot or more down.

Yes this stuff still exists. There is no away. So what? It's essentially harmless and below the threshold of being destructive or harmful to anyone. What HASN'T improved s where mankind used dispersants and other chemicals. Those things burned off the life there and has not recovered.

You're demanding an ideologically pure environment, and that is not possible, ever once a disaster occurs. So let's just throw that bullshit yardstick out and be realistic here. In 10-15 years, this oil spill will be not only rendered harmless but almost forgotten.

All that said, remember, the source is the green government propagandists at ABC.

you merely have to turn over a rock in prince william sound to find oil...dont be fooled..the oil is there and will stay there...i dont think its about demanding pristine conditions...i think its being realistic about what is happening.

Actually, it was Michele that frightened the oil away with her killer dress!

Actually, I think she rolled around on the beach and blotted all the oil up.

I didn't realize entropy was banned from Prince William Sound.

:clap2:Thank you President Obama!
And the first Saboteur in Chief cheerleader comes out to claim credit for Obama. He must have gotten the keys to Dick Cheney's weather machine that was last used to flood New Orleans. He's such a benevolant god to you guys, isn't he?

Poor Fitzy...so humorless.
You have had a thrill up your leg too many times for P-BO to be trusted to jest about such things.

On the other hand, I have a great sense of humor.

So Gov Booby Gingo has just been grandstanding all this time.
