Trade deficit is a nothing statistic....You have the same "trade deficit" with the gas station and grocery store, and nobody is any worse the wear for it.

This is Trumpist schizophrenia at its best. Trade deficits matter when Trump was running for President and the little Trumplings were screaming with joy how Trump going to bring manufacturing back and get a trade surplus. Now that Trump's policies have been an utter failure, the Trumplings are arguing that trade deficits don't matter. If that is the case and trade deficits don't matter, then way did Trump start a trade war?

With China, I think at some point even dumbass Trump will get it that he cannot win at tariffs.
So then he will make peace with China, make a 'deal' that is empty and then tell the world he fixed the problem...when he did nothing but make things worse for a few years and gain little for the pain it caused the US economy.
