Uh oh! Democrats getting hammered by religious voters

Requiring Catholics to pay for abortions and contraceptives is certainly a big part of the religious exodus. More than that, might be obama's newly exhibited penchant for interpreting the Bible and tell us what Jesus meant. The president acting as priest might be alienating all by itself.

obama's obviously lost the Mormon vote. The Catholic vote left and Jews don't want him either. He hasn't got a "prayer" with evangelicals. This is turning into a first class political religious war.

Ding-ding...Romney is going to win the Mormon vote spread out across the west.

Jews have jumped off the bandwagon a few years ago when they saw Obamination's treatment of Israeli leaders.

Catholics, real ones, will not vote for him now after he is sticking his finger in their beliefs.

The Evangelicals throughout the south, midwest and west are never voting for Obamination.

He is now left with duping black Christians based on skin color, northeast sidewalk Catholics that still believe in killing unborn babies, and the hispanic Catholics that believe in breaking our immigration laws. Oh yeah, the muslim vote too.

Catholics will vote the way they will, not how the church tells them to.

Apparently that's not the case. We're assured they don't think or act as individuals, but rather as part of the hive.

[but, this time around, with Obama trying to force the Church to fund abortions.....

What are you talking about? Is this one of those "Plan B is an abortion" arguments?

I know many catholics who do not indulge in group think. The Catholic Church has had so much scandal in recent years, they are fighting to remain relevant.

I'm sure CG is trying to pass Plan B off as the abortion pill. Everyone knows you can get plan b over the counter.

I'm guessing a hick like you thinks I mean he is a muslim.

I believe like a typical liberal he is more secular but he likes some parts of islam being that he was raised in it and he likes to quote the Bible from time to time to fool idiots like you. At the end of the day he still leans more to islam when pondering his 1 thought of the day that bounced around the empty head.

I'm not shocked an immoral person like you can't identify another immoral person in Obamination because you are from the same scum.

I see the hick can't refute the FACTS.:eusa_whistle:

Obamination is not a Christian, he is a fake. He will be alongside you in hell someday.

As the extremist continues to rant

Romney really needs the support of people such as you. I suggest you remain vocal during the campaign

Based on reading your posts, I would say President Obama is a better Christian than you are

As do I: my family. But I don't know how typical they are; the average American Catholic doesn't seem to simply be a drone (given their predilection for things like birth control, for instance) but we've got plenty of Catholics here insisting that indeed they are. I suppose we'll see.

I'm sure CG is trying to pass Plan B off as the abortion pill. Everyone knows you can get plan b over the counter.

I'm just curious as to whether they're under the false impression actual abortions have to be covered or they just like to imply that.

No....supporting abortion puts you and him at the front of hell's door.:clap2:

Bring some chicken wings...

American Catholics have traditionally taken an ala carte view of adhering to Catholic Doctrine. They firmly support birth control, divorce, female priests, ending celibacy. And yes, even Catholic girls get abortions

Want to know why Obama is trying to come off like he's Jesus, again?

Here's why!

The topline number in this Pew survey shows that the current breakdown among registered voters is 43/48 GOP/Dem, which is a seven point shift from their 39/51 results in 2008. Now that alone should worry the Democrats, seeing as Pew found that the breakdown in 2010 was 43/47, which was the year where Democrats got shellacked across the country; but the news is if anything worse when you look at the breakdown by religious affiliation. A lot of attention will be on how Jewish support for the GOP went from 20/72 to 29/65 between ’08 and today; but what may be even more important is that that GOP support among white Mainline Protestant and white Catholic voters flipped from 45/45 and 41/49 in 2008 to 51/39 & 49/42 in 2011. How this will translate into likely voters is, of course, anybody’s guess… but if you’ve been wondering why the President is suddenly talking about how neat God is, it’s probably because somebody on his staff is keeping track of Pew.

That sounds like trouble for Obama. I also seems to explain why Obama is getting so religious lately.

Too late Obama. We know it's an act, and we are not the least bit fooled.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

How many are fooled by Newt's religious act?
About the same amount as were fooled by Bush's act?

Yeah, that's why the entire internet lit up when Komen took the funding away from Planned Parenthood forcing her to restore it.

Christians don't run anything or anyone except other extremists. Catholics will vote the way they will, not how the church tells them to.

Certainly, you are right about Catholics.... but, this time around, with Obama trying to force the Church to fund abortions..... he stands a very strong chance of losing a significant amount of votes from us. Generally speaking, while Catholics might accept birth control... they do not accept abortion.

He is not trying to get them to fund abortions. It is contraceptives that the argument is about. I thought you would understand the difference. <shrug>

Besides there are many pro choicers out here.

I'm aware there are many pro choicers out there. I support their right to be pro choice. I just wish that you would do likewise and support the Catholic Church's stance not to be forced by government to provide services that are against our core beliefs.

If this stance by the government is successful.... Catholic Hospitals will be forced to close their doors to anyone who is not Catholic. Currently, those hospitals provide care and treatment to anyone - regardless of race, color, creed or sexual orientation.... and most of that care is funded by the Church - not by your taxes. We ask nothing in return for that. Other than we are not forced to provide services that we cannot provide. Surely, you see that?

Link? And preferably not to some left wing propaganda.

I don't know about that. I think we should have female priests and allow priests to get married, but I've never seen any study or poll done to show that most Catholics believe that as well, at least my family certainly doesn't. I'm the odd man out on those issues.

Nice speech but do you still contend that Obama wants the Church to fund abortions?

Please, don't insult our intelligence

The majority of Catholic women use birth control. I would hazard to guess that even you do.

Only republican abortions should be funded.

btw I am related to a evengelical preacher whose daughter had 2 abortions.
Same demonination as Palin.
And yes they were done thru Planned Parenthood.

That's not the fucking issue. If you don't understand the issue, then I would suggest you are not in a position to form an opinion.

I'm afraid you are the one who made it the fucking issue

Do you personally use birth control?
Do you support celibacy for priests and nuns?
Do you believe Catholics should be able to divorce?
Do you believe women should be priests?

Nice try, liar.

You're going to be smoked sausage someday.
