Two generation Z teens (17) and a rotary phone.

I dont get it??

Reference to a Stanley Kubrick movie.
He may not get stoned enough to understand the movie.
I dont even take asprin. Never saw this movie.
It is a 1960's model.

It's only one of the most iconic images of the 20th Century.
That movie was made before I was born.

To be fair, most movies worth seeing were made before you were born.
Gotta disagree. Most old movies suck major ass. The special effects back then are embarrassing.

Actually, many older movies have superlative special effects, done pre-CGI with stop motion, matte projection, rotoscope, double exposure, and many other artistic techniques that have sadly faded into obscurity.

Many older movies worth seeing were not about massive CGI fight scenes that last for a third of the movie. They were about story, dialogue, pathos, and emotion.

"The Day the Earth Stood Still" (1951 -- not the insipid remake).
"Forbidden Planet" (1956)
"Them" (1954)
"Invasion of the Body Snatcher" (1956)
"2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968)
"Star Wars" (1977)
"Blade Runner" (1988 -- not the god-awful sequel)

All remain beautifully filmed and scored masterpieces where story wins over CGI.

If you say so...

Older movies have other advantages.... like Maggie Smith as the hot secretary in "Hot Millions" ... the first movie to my knowledge about cyber crime.

As opposed to Maggie Smith today

Even William Cameron Menzies" kid-oriented "Invaders from Mars" was creepier than any modern day comparative, even with the zippers up the backs of the Martians.

I checked the back of my parents' necks for a week.

Youre kidding. Jane Fonda was a pin up girl?

She looks like she had a thing for Black guys?

Her last husband was Ted Turner.
Being married never stops them. She has that look. Ever heard any whispers?

Another advantage of an older movie?

This guy gets the girl...
