Turkey cuts Israel ties over flotilla raid

You're so smart, that's why you have zero reputational points after 2 years of mindless posts.

You are amazing. Post after post after post you manage to say something irrelevant.

That you have zero credibility as reflected in your complete lack of even 1 reputational point after 2 years of mindless posts is relevant.

Sux being you big time.

Some people like irrelevance. It clutters up threads they don't like.

Cool.

America should cut off Military aid for capping an American Citizen on that raid. And fucking with a NATO ally.

What was an American doing aboard a jihadist boat that viiolated international law, dimwit?

We are concerned that a number of groups are organizing a one year “anniversary” flotilla to commemorate the incident by sailing from various European ports to Gaza in the near future. Groups that seek to break Israel’s maritime blockade of Gaza are taking irresponsible and provocative actions that risk the safety of their passengers. Established and efficient mechanisms exist to transfer humanitarian assistance to Gaza. For example, humanitarian assistance can be delivered at the Israeli port of Ashdod, where cargo can be offloaded, inspected, and transported to Gaza. We urge all those seeking to provide such assistance to the people of Gaza to use these mechanisms, and not to participate in actions like the planned flotilla.

Recent seizures by Israel and Egypt of advanced military systems, weapons, and ammunition bound for terrorist groups in Gaza, as well as periodic rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza against Israeli civilians, highlight the continuing problem of illicit arms smuggling to Gaza. These seizures underscore the vital importance to Israel’s security of ensuring that all cargo bound for Gaza is appropriately screened for illegal arms and dual-use materials.

Turkey is moving in the wrong direction, as the article points out, Away from the west and towards the islamofacists. They can't side with Iran and the Syria till recently, and be part of NATO. They have to choose which way they want to go or they should be out of NATO

Leave those decision to the US strategists in the US Army and their counterparts in the Turkish Army.
It's not a question where your opinion is asked.

Who the hell is the Turkish Army? What have they done in the last hundred years? Kill Armenians and Kurds is all I see. Your Turkish army is a joke.

Turkey cuts Israel ties over flotilla raid

I can't blame them.

Israel's behavior both during the raid, and after was over the top.

But, Turkey's actions against the Kurds, persecuting and murdering them, are not over the top, Mahoundian. :clap2:

Israel's actions were entirely lawful. Violating Israel's military blockade is itself a military action. If you don't want to be killed, you don't break the law and attack the IDF with steel rods and wooden bats.

Those who live in Turkish glass houses shouldn't throw stones, Mahoundian.

US criticizes 'human rights violations' in Turkey
Unlawful killings, poor prison conditions, excessively long trials and limits on freedom of expression are among the alleged human-rights violations in Turkey that the U.S. State Department denounced in a recent report.

“Security forces committed unlawful killings; the number of arrests and prosecutions in these cases was low compared to the number of incidents, and convictions remained rare,” the State Department said late Friday in the section devoted to Turkey in its annual report on the status of human rights throughout the world.

U.S. officials also commented on the recent arrests of Turkish journalists, which came too late to be included in this report, saying they would be monitored and addressed in next year’s survey.

During the year human-rights organizations reported cases of torture, beatings and abuse by security forces. Prison conditions improved but remained poor, with overcrowding and insufficient staff training,” the State Department said in its 2010 human-rights report.

“The overly close relationship between judges and prosecutors continued to hinder the right to a fair trial. Excessively long trials were a problem. The government limited freedom of expression through the use of constitutional restrictions and numerous laws,” the State Department said.

“Press freedom declined during the year. There were limitations on Internet freedom. Courts and an independent board ordered telecommunications providers to block access to Web sites on numerous occasions,” it said in the report. “Violence against women, including honor killings and rape, remained a widespread problem.”

On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I am delighted to send best wishes to the people of Israel on your 63rd National Day this May 10 – a young nation, but a rich history that holds deep meaning for so many. Your achievements are a testament to your hardworking citizens, innovative economy, and commitment to democratic institutions. Israel has been a beacon of hope and freedom for so many around the world.

Sixty-three years ago the United States was the first country to recognize Israel's independence, and that spirit of kinship continues to guide us today. Our two countries are united by a deep, unshakable friendship and bond. We are bound together by our shared values and history pursuing freedom, equality and democracy. And this relationship is deepening every day. Whether it’s our security partnerships or the expanding economic and trade collaborations – our work together is securing a brighter future for all our people.

As you celebrate your independence, the Middle East is experiencing rapid change. This is a moment of uncertainty, but also of opportunity. The security of Israel is - and will remain - a cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy, and we will continue to strive for a comprehensive peace between Israel and all of its neighbors.

Israel's National Day

I like how Turkey actually thinks anyone gives a shit about the fact that they dont like the jews. Yeah, we get it. So what now? Does Turkey think they wouldnt get monkey stomped in a war with Israel? Turkey isnt shit, but I guess thats typical with muslim nations.

Turkey used to be a decent country before AKP came to power and began the Islamizing process. Turkey established diplomatic relations with Israel back in 1949 and the two countries have had excellent relations until the IslamoNazis took over.

Turkey, unfortunately, is looking to become another Iran

The Turkeys have become a radical Muslim state and the US should treat it as such.

The Ottoman Turks certainly didn't do too well in WW I. Ended up giving their entire empire to the Arabs.

Sucks being Turkish.

Why were the Turks there? To break the blockade.

Why were the Israeli there? To protect the blockade.

One is defense. The other not so much and you fail to take that into consideration editec.

Why?

The Israelis are our brothers and sisters.

We need a president proud of America in office so we can rekindle our strong relationship.

No country has been inflicted more by the plague of Islam then Israel, and no country has helped us more in our war against the religion of piss.

even you anti-Semitic fools should be grateful that we have a friend in Israel to help us in this war.
