after putting out a coupla fairly good Top 40 singles, these guys went into business producing incredibly tedious stuff... ponderous, pretentious and self-important...

but most everybody 'cept me loved 'em...

I know that, as a hard-core libertarian, I'm supposed to go ape-shit over these guys...

but, jeez... how can anybody listen to Geddy Lee for more'n only a few minutes...?

Before I even opened this thread, my answer was: any Beatles song.

The Beatles were the Backstreet Boys of my generation. Think of the most overhyped talentless band during your time and imagine if, 40 years later, people were claiming that they were the best ever?

Blow chunks indeed.

while I thank all of you for this great music, I've found Pandora Radio [a free download] and get a HUGE selection of anything I want to hear just by typing in the artist, tune, or genre and can listen to it while I'm doing other things on the computer.

I am not a Bob Dylan fan. His voice is too whiny imo.

I also never understood the draw of the Dave Matthews Band although he did a duet with Jagger I liked. Memory Motel

The only song I would skip on "Appetite":

The only song I would skip on "Illusions":

I hafta disagree with your blanket statement regarding the Beatles...

imho, whenever they were able to keep Paul in a box, they were great...

they sucked whenever they let him out...

and lame-ass shit like this ensued...
