There could have been another straw - Putin seems to have A LOT of interest in getting his hit man out of jail and back in Russia. From what Navalnui's people say Putin finally got a back channel offer for exchange - Navalnui. Putin wasn't going to let him go again and by taking Navalnuy off the table nagotiations are forced in another direction.

Most absurd. You apparently are unaware Ukraine was mounting a military offensive in the Donbas, with NATO’s help where they murdered 14,000 since Nuland’s coup. This forced Putin to act and prevent the mass murder of more Russian speakers.

The West has admitted they were stonewalling Russia for years of talks in the Minsk accords. Just so they could build up Ukraine’s army. Is this news go you too?

Are you also unaware Putin has stated for many years Ukraine can’t go NATO? Yet the West provoked him.
