As of now, I discount such an ominous prospect. His forcing Republican candidates to pledge allegiance to his Big Lie undoubtedly has many traditional conservatives seething. He insists upon the Party aiding and abetting his self-obsessed fake claim at a time it would dearly love to restore itself as a reality-based entity, disgusted with his having lost it control of the Executive, House, and Senate in a single term.

If he were to contrive a platform, would it again consist of building a big, beautiful wall and making Mexico pay for it? Repealing 'ObamaCare' and replacing it with "something terrific" that covers everybody? Rebuilding the nation's crumbling infrastructure? Reducing the national debt? Resurrecting coal mining? Reviving manufacturing? Revitalizing steel manufacture? Eliminating the trade deficit? Lowering unemployment? etc., etc., etc.? (Presumably, he would not again dismiss warnings of an imminent pandemic by insisting, "Everybody's getting better! It's "under control!" before nearly a million Americans died from it.)

Even if all the civil and criminal investigations of the Loser were to suddenly be abandoned, is making November 5, 2024 "Groundhog Day", recycling all his unfulfilled campaign promises, a viable fantasy?

In any event his now parroting the President concerning Putin and Ukraine, and his echoing Dr Fauci concerning the effectiveness of vaccinations and boosters appears to be a pretense of rehabilitation to glean mainstream votes .

If we can put the partisan petty bickering from the left aside for a moment, I think Zelenesky has earned a great deal of world respect for his response to the russian invasion

but in the binary space of lib la la land everything is on or off, black or white, for or against

and he was never against getting the shot
