Tom Brady Suspension Lifted

I guess this means the cheatriots will have one less rule to break as they will be watched. They will, no doubt, come up w/ some other underhanded way to gain advantage. That IS what they are known for hence their name  the cheatriots

This Thursday, Tommy is going to be handing Pittsburgh their arses. :D It's a home game too. Can you imagine the sheer excitement when Tommy Boy takes the field??? I just WISH I could be there instead of watching it on TV. The excitement around here is just contagious! ;)
geez. :eusa_doh:Wipe your chin will ya? :eusa_eh:

Brady and the Patriots will always be Shady and the Cheatriots. At least two episodes of flagrant cheating will follow them forever.

Who knows? Maybe one day they will win a Super Bowl without cheating. But not today.....not today.

Wouldn't that be funny if he got a Joe Theisman style injury in the first game?

Well not FUNNY, but you know what I mean.

Maybe SOMEONE can pick his first pass off at least.

Well, Tommy Boy's suspension is no more! What do you all think? :)

Judge nullifies Tom Brady's DeflateGate suspension

Tom Brady's four-game suspension from the NFL for his role in DeflateGate has been nullified. In May, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell handed down the punishment, which Brady officially appealed last month. Although Goodell was the arbitrator for the appeal, he changed his original ruling and has now decided that the quarterback presented sufficient evidence to reduce his punishment for allegedly having knowledge that Patriots staff deflated footballs ahead of the AFC Championship against the Indianapolis Colts.

Well the reason for Berman's decision is noteworthy. It's worth recognizing that Berman effectively recognized that Brady cheated. His decision was based upon two primary principles a) the punishment had not been established in the CBA prior to the offense, thus Goodell's suspension was arbitrary. In other words "yes Brady cheated but because there was no guidelines in place to deal with this issue specifically beforehand, Goodell just made up a punishment" and Berman contends that is not permitted. b) Since Goodell acted as the arbitrator for the appeal, despite language in the CBA giving him the authority to do so, Brady did not have access to an impartial arbitrator after the fact.

Essentially, Berman said "yeah he cheated, but there's nothing you can do about it because you didn't have sanctions identified and established before the offense". We will see what happens with the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals. I think Berman's ruling will be overturned, but judges have a habit of making up their own minds and doing whatever they want at that level.

Did you actually listen to what Berman said? He basically ripped Goodell and the NFL a new one for being unfair. The judge basically said that just because you have been granted certain powers under a CBA, that doesn't give you the right to not give people due process. In the courtroom he repeatedly asked the NFL what proof they had that Brady deflated balls and excoriated them for the Wells Report.

You know what's pathetic, Mad Scientist? That you'd wish a career ending injury on someone simply because he beats your team on a regular basis!

It's the salary cap era...there isn't a damn thing keeping YOUR team from having the same success as the Patriots except your owner...your coaching staff...and your players. Robert Kraft has been the best owner in the NFL over the past 15 years. Bill Belichick has been the best coach over the past 15 years. Tom Brady has been the best quarterback over the past 15 years. As the saying goes..."they hate us...'cause they ain't us!"

Just a little trash talking, Dottie. No need to get jelly. :D

The suspension was BS to begin with. Roger Goodell is a jerk. Now when we win the AFC East NE won't have an excuse.
yeah it was bs in the fact that it was a joke because it was for only four games when it should have been a whole season and yeah Goodel is a jerk because he has had his head of Krafts ass ever since becoming commissioner.

this is not at all surprising in the least>i said from day one the worst that would happen was a compromise would be made and it would be reduced to two games. The pats are the rich spoiled brats of the NFL who get special treatment.someone like cleveland did this, their quarterback would have been suspended an entire year.

as someone else said, the pats are the kennedys of the NFL.rich spolied brats who get special priveledges.

they were never going to suspend a high profile player like brady.that was given. In college, you get kicked out of the universtiy for deflategate and spygate but the NFL is corrupt as hell.

Like this article says so well, just because the suspension was lifted, doesnt mean he is innocent.

criminals are let go in our corrupt court system all the time on technicalitys which is why the suspension was not upheld.

facts are facts that the brady apologists cant get around no matter how much they want to deny this is the biggest scandal in sports history since the black sox scandal which is many former NFL players have called him a liar and cheater INCLUDING his former center who played on two superbowls with him,his own idol joe montana-how embarrasing can that be?:lmao: and even Darrel Revis after leaving them whom they wanted to stay.:lmao:

worse yet his own lawyer even had this to say about him.

even Brady’s lawyer said so."

Tom Brady may have gotten off, but it doesn't mean he's innocent.

comedy gold.:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:

shady brady gets special treatment as always..lol

Essentially, no he did not say that. Not ONCE did the judge say anything of the sort. Now, I understand that you are upset because your team is going to have to face down Brady, but crying isn't going to help you. :)
Seattle doesn't play New England unless it comes down to another Superbowl

Okay, well, IF we play your team then. :D

I have to say that I am much more excited now than I was when I thought I would be watching our backup QB play for the first few games. Lol. We fans WANT to see Brady out there playing.

Well it certainly helps your chances. You still lost Revis, Browner, and Wilfork. I don't know how you are going to account for that.

Where there is a Bill, there is a way. :D Lol.

Look, in the past, he has gotten rid of plenty of players, and I have been like, "what the HELL is he thinking?" but it always seems to work out well. I have to trust his decisions. :)
