To the fringe left and right - stop pretending to care about America

She didn't say that she wants to get rid of the free market.

That is exactly what she said, that the market is "irredeemable."

I think there is a lot of confusion with these labels and that some people don't actually understand what they're asking for. They want what Scandinavia has, and that is a capitalist society. Talk to some of these lefties about it some time. Ask them what they want from our government. You'll get a list of a bunch of shit they're already doing in Europe.

Probe deeper and you'll get to the truth, which is what they are already doing in Cuba and Venezuela.

How do you compromise with people who support abortion and infanticide?

By bringing the conversation somewhere else. That isn't the only thing happening.

Also by pointing out that nobody likes abortion and nobody is for infanticide. Those are truths that are purposefully ignored in a transparent attempt to avoid discussing issues honestly.

10 years ago, did you honestly think that people would run for congress on the platform of socialism?

To my knowledge none of the people calling themselves socialists are advocating for overthrowing the free market and giving total control to Uncle Sam. They are advocating for Scandinavian style social safety nets, which can coexist with capitalism.

Then you are not paying attention.

“Capitalism is an ideology of capital — the most important thing is the concentration of capital and to seek and maximize profit,” Ocasio-Cortez said during the interview, before making the argument that capitalism is destructive because it aims to hurt people and the environment.

“To me, capitalism is irredeemable,” she added.}

No, you won’t.

You’re as ignorant as to what ‘the left’ wants as are most conservatives.

I don’t know the dude all that well...but it appears as though he’s trying here.

What do you want our government to do?

Medicare for all?

Public universities?

Better wages for lowest tier employees?

What do you want that Scandinavia doesn't do?

My biggest gripe with many on the "right" is an aversion to accepting things that are facts and instead rely on
their ideological beliefs when forming their arguments. When I discern that the person in question is
purposefully spreading misinformation, I don't treat them with respect.

Have you ever considered the possibility that perhaps your notions that you think are facts, are not, in fact, facts?

Could you give a few examples of these alleged facts that are relevant to current contentious government policy issues under consideration, so that the rest of the USPOL forumers participating in this discussion could subject them to critical scrutiny?

Sure.

You don't. All you care about is attacking each other and getting a leg up in the never ending partisan fight. If you cared about the health of this nation you'd be open minded to the possibility of cooperation and improvement. You'd want to find ways to deescalate hostilities. You wouldn't be terrified of being cooperative with anything because the other side might get a tally on their wall.

Having a strong non-divisive centrist president like Trump certainly helps. A recent example is the passage of the First Step Act.

An example of unreasonable Democrat obstructionism that is extremely detrimental to our country is their sudden and obviously disingenuous (eg Obama building a wall is ok, Trump building a border wall is racist) opposition to any border security wall infrastructure project that would save the taxpayers money and provide living wage jobs to many workers.

WTF?????

That's what I thought. You're bitching about absolutely nothing. Bitching just to bitch.

Oh!!!!! You thought I would jump to it on command? That’s funny.

Just pay attention to my posts. When I make a claim or a declarative statement, you can take that as something that I know to be a fact.

It’s easy. Enjoy.
