this is fucking ridiculous

Maybe we should just stop paying people to have children they cannot afford to raise.

You know, there is another issue that the article mentions that really might be at the heart of this case, especially to true libertarians and even to our founding fathers and the citizens here until the late 19th century and early 20th century, and that is:

Illegal Drugs

Drugs were never illegal here, until the time I mentioned above...and the reason why was because THE PEOPLE, would NOT LET the Government dictate, what they smoked or snorted or popped or whatever-ed! The citizens felt that this was BEYOND the gvts reach with their limited powers....our gvt could NOT pass any laws restricting citizens freedoms on these type of things....

What finally happened, with a bunch of smear campaigns from various entities....the religious, the prejudice, the BIG GUN PAPER business run by Hearst for his newspapers who did not want competition with Hemp Paper and bunch of other big buck lobbying put upon congress, Congress started passing drug laws in a back handed manner....they said the drugs were still legal to buy or have, but legislated that you had to purchase a tax stamp from the Federal Gvt in order for any transaction to take place....BUT THEY NEVER PRODUCED a tax stamp to buy.... I kid you not, freedoms taken away in one swoop of an inked pen.... This is the SHORT of it....there really is so much more and the History Channel has a great special on Illegal Drugs in America that goes in to it more.

Anyway, to get to point....

It says in this article that this woman and the father of 10 of her children...essentially, who supported a house/roof over their head through dealing cocaine.

And that she and her children's troubles began when her common husband/father of her 10 children, was arrested and convicted for selling coke, and she, a stay at home mom with all those kids, now had no money coming in anymore from essentially, her common husband and his business....because he was incarcerated for it. (And yes, I did say business....)

For the first one hundred years after 1776, what this husband of hers did for a living, WAS NOT ILLEGAL in this country of ours.

So, for the sake of discussion, regarding this case and what I have mentioned above....

How many other cases, similar to this case, are there in our system, just because someone was dealing or even smoking pot or coke....? Cases like this meaning, not only are we spending about $60 grand a year in some states incarcerating users or dealers of drugs, we are also having to now pick up the tab, for the Families they left behind, with no income or means of support now?

You know who he was dealing coke to? other people's kids. Coke is a terrible terrible drug.. can blow your heart right out of your chest. he belongs in prison.

Interesting.

See, do you remember a soft drink called Coca-Cola? Do you have any idea where they got the name for this refreshing pick me up drink? Uhm, yeah.....

The *original* fomulation for Coca-Cola had COCAINE in it. Hence the name COCA-Cola.

Back when it had Cocaine in it, I don't think there were lots of people with hearts blowing right out of their chest. My grandmother was around for those days and remembered them well. She never mentioned people walking around with their hearts outsidet their bodies after drinking a refreshing beverage.

And...another thing, whenever someone had an upset tummy, they just sent out to the local druggist and had him deliver a package of ....yeah, get this.

Heroin.

Yes ma'am. Heroin was hailed a wonder-drug that could fix all things, including regulating irregularity, and other ailments.

You just had it delivered. No Rx required. And I don't think hearts were shooting out of chests there either.

Are you serious? Why would anyone promote the use of any drug? This womens plight is a perfect example of why you shouldn't take that road.....

That you would suggest her partner/husband should be free to continue dealing cocaine is preposterous.....yeah we would have a great society if we all dealt drugs.....your crazy.....

There are alot of things that are illegal NOW that were not illegal for the first 100 years of this nation's existence. This woman knew the whole time she was being supported by her baby daddy's "business", that is was illegal and that "daddy" could be busted at any time. Not feeling the sympathy.

"other people's kids" aren't forced to take it. its their personal responsbility

yep,, and asswipe wasn't forced to sell it either. he's right where he belongs.

if no one bought it he wouldn't of have a business anyway. you will never stop people from doing "wrong" as in the drug dealer, people need to take personal responsbility for their actons

how the fuck do people get shit like this into their head? stuff like this seriously makes me consider mass eugenics

You don't already support Abortion?

i wouldn't stop a women from having an abortion. I was refering to full on eugenics though not just poeple in the womb

I would never support it. Thought if the eugenics advocates began with themselves, there really wouldn't be much I could do about it.

Mother, 12 children leave motel for new home

sterilize this crazy bitch immediately. what a fucking useless parent. she should be thrown in jail for raising TWELVE kids in a shit environment without proper ways to finance their education and well being.

She should've given them all the same name. That would come in handy if, for example, she needed to call them for dinner. She'd just yell, "Lafondra, come to dinner!" And if she wanted to tell them apart, she could just call them by their last name.

You're the one claiming these drugs should remain illegal and that those who use/sell them should be incarcerated--because these drugs cause cardiovascular problems.

Why don't you provide us with statistics and information about cocaine and heroin an dthe cardiovascular effects experienced by Americans during the time when both said drugs could be legally obtained right off the shelf at the local CVS.

Give us some information that backs up your position.

Oh and while we're at it....alcohol kills too. It destroys the liver, among many other ways it destroys human life. It is legal now--but it wasn't always legal. During prohibition, you couldn't get a drink legally in the whole of the USA. Prohibition and moonshining is how the Kennedy's got filthy rich.

Eventually Prohibition was repealed, but how many died before and how many died after from alcohol related accidents, injuries and illness?

How many people die each year of DUI and other alcohol related accidents? How many people die each year because they killed the only liver they had and a new one didn't reach them in time? How many die each year in alcohol fueled domestic violence?

Don't you think we ought to include alcohol in the War on Drugs? Shouldn't we imprison drinkers and those who sell the drinks too? :eusa_think:

How do you feel about Billy Bob who gets drunk, beats up his wife and lands her in the hospital with major brain injuries and in a drug induced coma to save her life?

What if Mrs. Billy Bob is left brain damaged and on medicaid as a result of her injuries? Do you feel that way now?

Shouldn't all the Billy Bob's in the US be in prison?
