Others just want to survive in ignorance of the truth long enough to get their hands on new smart devices, video game systems, etc. and still others cannot admit to themselves that the party of their ancestors now stands for satanic insanity or that their nation could have devolved to its current state. Sadly, I think a majority of Americans just don't know how to react to their way of life and a period of decades of safe living coming under direct attack. Because of all these instances of inaction and/or denial most Americans likely won't raise a finger to defend our homeland until a mob kicks down their front doors. Of course by then, for them, it'll be far to late an hour to open their eyes and acknowledge the truth of their situation.
