The progressive war on Christmas/Christianity

1130davies.jpg

Lovely. Yet another idiot leftist cartoon to display their utter ignorance on the difference between Christian Charity and Government-Mandated THEFT.

Isn't all theft just forced charity? Liberals find all kinds of excuses and reasons for street thugs to be absolved of their thuggery.

You gotta be amused by progressives. They took a Christian holiday, commercialized it, have riots over the sales, then say it's all the fault of the Christians.

When will Christians get the message. Gift giving, sales, Christmas dinner, should be reserved just for Christians. The liberals don't like Christians having a holiday, but the liberals certainly want the benefit of that holiday.

Why do Christians spoil Christmas for everyone else? If you want your Christmas to center on celebrating the birth of Christ, you are welcome to do so. It is when you want to force your view of what Christmas should be on everyone else that you run into trouble

If others want to celebrate family, gift giving, Santa and a nice tree.....it is up to them

Christmas is an American tradition, nobody's forcing you to believe anything, it's the atheists who are forcing their will on everybody else

Who commercialized Xmas? Wasn't it Christians themselves? To lay it on some shadowy group of "progressives" is just ludicrous. Name names of who these people are or STFU. You're just trying to pass the buck.

To Christians, giving presents is symbolic of the gifts given to Jesus. The Gifts of The Magi. If Christians commercialized Christmas, then liberals bastardized it.

True Christians should respect non-believers and not insult them with presents or sharing food by inviting them to dinner.

I encourage you to suggest that to as many people as you can, if it's the way you truly feel.

I'm afraid you might lose some friends, though.

It might help you if you read the context of the quote you're responding to.

rw's - quit the damn whining and quit blaming everyone else for your problems.

GROW UP and TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELF.

Bull shit. You can do anything you want - EXCEPT force your beliefs on others.

Poor little whiny victims. STFU and go enjoy your xmas.

WATCH: Bill O’Reilly Takes on Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee Over ‘Holiday Tree’ Controversy

11/29/12

On The Factor tonight, Bill O’Reilly took on Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee (I) over the “holiday tree” controversy. Chafee first made headlines last year by maintaining that the tree at the Statehouse would be called a “holiday tree” and not a Christmas tree.
In the interview, Chafee pointed out that all he has done is keep the same policy of his predecessor, Donald Carcieri (R), by referring to it as a holiday tree. He said “somehow” this has now become a controversy, even though it’s been called a “holiday tree” at the Statehouse since the 1990s.

O’Reilly pointed out that many Christians get upset when politicians decide to avoid using the word “Christmas” or otherwise avoid Christmas traditions.

“There is no holiday tree, there is no tradition of a holiday tree,” O’Reilly said.

Poor O'Reilly...can't celebrate the holidays without other people calling their trees what he wants them to call them.

What other holiday, this time of year, uses fir trees as a symbol?

This is where the loons insist that there has never been a Christian holiday at Christmas time...it has always been a pagan holiday and so on and so forth.

Politics should have nothing to do with religion. I'm very liberal but I could not have an abortion and I still say, "Merry Christmas". But it's fine with me if a woman has an abortion or says, "Happy Holidays".

Stop blaming liberals for everything. It is you conservatives that have a stick up your you know whats!!
