The only president with a worse 100 days than Trump is the one who died the first month

On MSNBC Sunday morning a conservative radio host took multiple shots at President Donald Trump’s faltering relationship with his own party, saying the first two months of his administration have been a disaster.

Appearing on AM Joy, commentator Charlie Sykes was asked by fill-in host Jonathan Capehart how things are going for Trump within his own party.

“Does it make much sense for the president to wage this all-out war, all-out battle on fellow Republicans, moderates and conservatives,” Capehart asked. “What have you, what’s he’s got, what is this, day 65? He’s got three and a half more years?”

“Yeah, so far the only president who had a worse 100 first days would be William Henry Harrison who didn’t last past 30 days,” Sykes quipped to laughter from the panel.

“This is what is so dangerous for the Republican governing majority at this point,” Sykes continued. “You had this disaster on Friday. The president made it really clear he didn’t care that much, he wasn’t engaged, he wasn’t passionate, he never bothered to learn the details of the [health care] bill.”

“Now by outsourcing the attacks and allowing the long knives to come out, I think he puts his entire agenda at risk unless somehow in some alternative universe Chuck Schumer is going to come forward and say, ‘Let’s work together, let’s pass this huge infrastructure bill,’ which will, of course, further tear apart the Republican majority, will further tear apart conservative support.”

“So I’m not sure that you’re seeing as much of a strategy as you’re seeing the president’s lack of impulse control. The normal instinct to lash out at people who didn’t bow the knee,” Sykes lamented.

He's accomplished plenty with executive orders, directives negotiating better deals with companies like Boein, and bringing corporations back in to this country.

I will tell you who has accomplished absolutely nothing though:

The Democrats In Congress!

Dear brummelben
No President can fix the accumulated garbage
that's been building up that fast.

We are lucky to get some agreement going within the first year.

The big battle Trump took on is with the MEDIA.
the parties are still fighting battles within their RANKS.

People are divided WITHIN parties.
People are divided across the nation.

It will take ALL of us pitching in to reunite
party members before we unite across parties.

Trump isn't in charge of all that, we the people are responsible.
That's on us first.

We need to send a united message to tell Congress what we want.
We are sending mixed messages, and this backlog is what we get as a result!

Trump told the American people that a bill to defund the ACA and institutute a new health care plan would be available on day 1. Then after a massive defeat he lies and said that he never said that. Get that piece of garbage out of the white house and maybe congress can work together. Until then, never

Don was not elected to be president, he was elected to put on a show, and he is, give the guy a break, it IS entertaining and that's all it was ever going to be.

Dear brummelben
Congress could not work together to pass a unififed bill BEFORE Trump.
With Obama, Congress Courts and the Nation were split 50/50.

Why? Because "health care as a right through govt" is a
POLITICAL BELIEF ONLY HALF THE NATION supports.

Trump cannot change the beliefs of half the nation.
Congress should not have legislated on behalf of HALF the nation
and violated the beliefs and principles and consent of the OTHER HALF.

Neither Congress nor either President has been able to fix this.
it's up to the people to admit these are BELIEFS
and quit trying to legislate either way through govt!

The Democrats In Congress!
Those Democrats you speak of weren't even contacted by the President, not once did he ask them for assistance, now just how many jobs has he brought back- a couple of hundred?
Why would he do that, a desire to be stabbed in the back?

Must be, the cocky bastard just have thought this was a slam dunk and he didn't need a single democrat

Actually he invited them to participate but since they are unified in their desire to be entrenched in Obstructionism and have joined the Obama lead Coalition of "Resist Democracy" not one Democrat offered to participate.

President Trump just the other day Again invited them to participate the next time we try to craft a Healthcare Bill.

Refusing to do your job and letting people suffer under Obamacare is not a Victory.

Nor is it a good strategy for winning back Congress.

We will see Trump's job growth results.
February job growth was the same as average numbers Obama was producing including January results.

In true Trump fashion he said the jobs numbers that Obama was receiving were incorrect, too high. When the same reporting group gave him 200,000 + new jobs in February he embraced the numbers.

How can you believe anything he says?

Watching the liberals have meltdowns and cry like little bitches they are, playing the liberal media at their own game make him the best president in modern history ...

It's almost as good as the Chicago cubs winning the World Series

Fucking priceless.

The February jobs were a direct result of Obama and no one else. No sane President takes credit for the economy after 2 weeks in office

Yes, and the more rightwing Republicans that were alienated,
the MORE Democrats were needed to replace those votes.

The more you get from one side, the more you lose from the other.
So there is no way to do this.

It's like trying to get Muslims and Hindus to agree on a religion.
The right answer is for Muslims to follow their OWN religion
and let Hindus follow THEIRS. then you get 100% agreement.

But if you take ONE system and impose on both, or a mix, and try to get BOTH SIDES
to agree, OF COURSE YOU GET DIVISION.

That's why Congress isn't SUPPOSED to get involved in policies touching on BELIEFS.
and Health Care turns out to be one of those, split right down the middle on party lines, due to BELIEFS
that govt can't force people to change.

Is that their excuse for not doing their jobs as representatives of the American people? They obviously have no interest in serving their country, only their party.

that the taxpayers still lose when the bad legislation sits there, while both sides
throw fits and project blame, and NOTHING gets corrected...
They don't pay, we do.
So that's who loses!

He made a bunch of clear promises , and he's backed off almost all of them.
