I wouldn't really say they are conservative though. The old show didn't seem to be very political, but I barely remember it. I did hear from a friend who watched it (I didn't watch) that there was a cross dressing boy on it, so that doesn't seem to be very "conservative" to me.
well they're pro trump. that will stir up enough hate. i have not watched it and was not a fan in the day. if funny now, i'll give it a shot.

i just cancelled netflix cause they put rice on their board of directors. stupid, really. but i was tired of netflix anyway. this last season was horrible. :)

The last season of Netflix was horrible? :eusa_think:

Roseanne is a socialist, not a Trump supporter, and even ran for president on the Green Party ticket.
Nothing Roseanne said was racist, the movie "Planet of the Apes" is against racism, war, and theocracy.
A single tweet is way too short to tell anything.
And firing Roseanne over a political tweet is totally and completely illegal.

Here is NY law:
{...
* In most instances it is illegal for an employer to fire or discriminate against you for participation, on your own time, in lawful political or recreational activities. NY Labor Law sec. 201-d. If you believe you have been discharged because of your involvement in such legitimate pursuits, you should consult your attorney, the NY Department of Labor at (800) 662-1220 or visit: New York State Department of Labor , or contact the U.S. Department of Labor at 1-866-4-USWAGE or visit http://www.dol.gov.
...}

Is Roseanne filmed in NY?

Even if it were filmed in NY, the law is far more complex than that little blurb. Here's a link to that section of NY labor law: New York Consolidated Laws, Labor Law - LAB § 201-d | FindLaw

There are a bunch of exceptions, for example this: "5. Nothing in this section shall apply to persons who, on an individual basis, have a professional service contract with an employer and the unique nature of the services provided is such that the employer shall be permitted, as part of such professional service contract, to limit the off-duty activities which may be engaged in by such individual."

I'm guessing cancelling Roseanne was not illegal. :p
