Cuba had ample reason to resent the US. But that is 50 years past. Time for both nations to have relations the same as the other nations in the world.

I had two classmates whose father was in the US Army down there, as an advisor maybe, and they had had to leave Cuba, and they used to tell us of the gunfire at night, and how you never knew which side was doing the killing until the morning.
Obama could have waited to see if the Castros would die on his shift, but, this way, he doesn't leave it to Jeb to get the credit for modernizing the Cuba policy.

Horseshit.....Castro came down out of those mountains killing everybody in sight...all Batista was doing was trying to keep the country together long enough for the US to intervene....Kennedy could have but lost his nerve at Bay of Pigs. You say Batista's government wasn't a democracy and that's right but the average Cuban was much more free to make his own decisions before Castro. Fidel and Raul took everything of value for themselves...Castro is said to be worth almost $1B...to equate the two governments is fantasy....I get it you want to fish there, but c'mon!

He hasn't won anything...he can't pardon illegals or drop the barriers with Cuba without Congressional approval....oh, he's won some headlines and fawning from the last of his worshipers but nothing else....his "memorandums" are subject to the USSC ruling and he's going to lose both of these and Barry Care in June.
