"Liberal" no longer inspires, so they call themselves "Progressives". They look suspiciously like "Socialists" in their inordinate, unscrupulous, remorseless attempt to take down their enemies--who are all those who still believe in the things that made this country the greatest society in history--Jeffersonian ideals, Christian morals, the profit incentive.
Only about 20% of the people are true Liberals, and they are divided into two groups: The Guilty and the Jealous.
The Guilty are the ones who grew up a Doctor's son, or in some other circumstance which made them feel bad about having more than others. They enjoy thinking they have cornered the market on compassion...but it turns out that their compassion is generally with other people's money.
The Jealous Liberal is the true hater, and the group which produces the real Loons. They are essentially for anything at all which will knee cap people who are doing better than them. They laughed at some rube they knew in high school who liked to tinker with cars... they went off to college and majored in sociology...and are pissed that the rube has a Car Parts store and is making more than they are at places like the Post Office. A very dangerous group because they are a sick group.
But the Guilty and the Jealous have teamed up for a common cause...which amounts to changing the greatest society in history into something where there is complete Equality...as Churchhill said, they want Equality even if it is Equal Misery...which is Socialism in fact.
So, they have been busy all these years, starting basically with the Great Society, BUYING VOTES. Lately, they have been buying votes with borrowed money. The Great Society has been a colossal failure...except that they have bought some serious allies.
So, the Loon Coalition now consists of approximately half of the people falling basically into these groups:
1) The Guilty and the Jealous Loons, the true Loons...the rest are bought or they are crazy.
2) The Public Employee Unions
3) Blacks
4) Mexicans
5) Gays
6) Single women with babies and no man to be found to help with support, so they move onto the Federal Government Plantation and vote for the people who give them the most money to keep having babies with no father to be found.
7) Muslims (dangerous ally, because they hate most of the rest of the Loon Coalition), but Republican don't want anything to do with them.
8) The Mentally Ill
There are plenty who fall into more than one group, like the last one--but they have come together and elected a nearly pure Socialist as President of the USA--Twice---so they have become formidable, no doubt...and are hard at work inviting more onto the Federal Plantation...to become even more formidable...and this battle will go on until the borrowed money to buy the votes runs out.
And, then there will be Hell to pay.
This is where we are today. In a state of internal decay as a society....which is what has happened to the great societies of the past.
Just my opinion of course...and it is truly a humble one.
