The last war you felt good about supporting?

If, that is, there has ever been one in your lifetime and hopefully, one that we won which for most of you has happened, kind of, only once in your lifetime.

My choice, WWII.

Invasion of Iraq...too bad the democrats kept us from succeeding there........it was more important to make Bush fail than to defeat the enemy.....
Bush started a war, that was lost before it started.

Nope.....the democrats did everything in their power to undermine the effort....then after Bush stabilized Iraq....obama gave the commander in the field less troops than he requested for the job that needed to be done, pulled our troops out prematurely, and told the enemy when those troops were coming out.......

Keeeping in mind that after World War 2 we still have troops in Germany, Japan, Italy, Britain, and all over the world in countries we defeated in war....but we just had to pull our troops out of the one place they were neeeded the most......
fyi, we didn't defeat Britain, they were on our side in ww2!

Also, we don't have troops in Europe due to any of the European countries we have bases in being pevious enemies....we have bases there to stop Russia from encroaching on the EU, and because access to the middle east is much closer from there, than if our troops were all in the U.S....most of our bases left are NATO bases.

Twit....had we left any of those countries they would have fallen into chaos...our presence allowed them to become the democracies they are today......

And we left Iraq and Afganistan because obama is a moron.

My choice, WWII.

WWII was before most of us were old enough to remember the reasons for it or before most of us were even born. But in history, I think most reasonable people understand that it was a necessary war and we fought it for justifiable reasons. I saw Desert Storm in much the same way. But that's about it.

"and all over the world in countries we defeated in war" is an additional clause, not modifying Britain, but I guess you knew that and just wanted to make a joke. Forinstance it would add North Korea, the former Yugoslavia, etc.

Also, we don't have troops in Europe due to any of the European countries we have bases in being pevious enemies....we have bases there to stop Russia from encroaching on the EU, and because access to the middle east is much closer from there, than if our troops were all in the U.S....most of our bases left are NATO bases.

Russia isnot going to invade the EU and if they did the EU could handle it. The EU is playing the US for suckers and the neocons eat it up as part of the Pax Americana bullshit.

Invasion of Iraq...too bad the democrats kept us from succeeding there........it was more important to make Bush fail than to defeat the enemy.....
Really? What did Iraq have to do with 9/11? We invaded the wrong country for Christ sake

Do you guys have such fucking short memory spans that you forgot about 9/11.......we had muslims attack the United STates who had been training in Afghanistan unmolested by bill clinton...for years.......and sadaam had been giving money and support to terrorists all around the world while at the same time trying to develop biological weapons....while the U.N. arms ispectors were incompetent, and the inspection regimes were about to end...allowing him freedom of action on anything he wanted to do...of course there was the Oil for Food scandal that showed that the Europeans couldn't be trusted to keep him in check or to keep him from developing anything he wanted.....

Then 9/11 happened.....and the game of allowing sadaam to violate the ceasfire agreement, to continue to defy the sanctions and the inspection process was no longer just a game..........he was at the top of the list of assholes who had to be removed, and through his past actions he exposed himself to removal.....

And you morons forget all of that....that after 9/11, allowing an asshole like sadaam to threaten us, and to play games that Europe didn't take seriously was no longer to be tolerated...after 3,000 Americans had been killed because bill clinton couldn't keep it in his pants long enough to take terrorism seriously......

So allowing these tin pot terrorist supporters to exist was no longer an option....and it worked.......khadaifi gave up his weapons, Iraq and Afghanisastan were stable and then obama came in and gave it all up to the muslims...

And you believe 9/11 happened in a vacuum, is that it?

Adam and Eve were created on 9/10/01. Everything we think we know before that is illusion.

Or perhaps these 19 hijackers just had nothing to do and said, "hey I know -- let's get on planes and bomb the WTC". And another said "why?" and the first one said "why not? Just something to do". And so they did. Because in your world context is something where you go

Left headed Progressive Liberal Socialist pukes aren't very good at connecting the dots. Overloads their little brains. Most of them are as bad as the braindead nitwits Jesse Watters interviews on the streets

Absolute Bull Shit, It is the duty of the American Citizenry to call out the politicians that start wars tht have nothing to do with the security of the United States and the wars are fought for the benefit of other countries. It is traitorous for Americans to standby and watch when they know it is wrong. That bumper sticker from the 60's "My Country Right or Wrong" is obsolete now!

Where the hell did I mention politicians? It is traitorous for any American to deny they support to the US Military unless they are willing to take up arms against that same military.

My family's allegiance to this nation goes back to the 1660s, never mind the 1960s.

And we left Iraq and Afghanistan because Obama is a moron.
The main reason president Bush took the initial steps for us to withdraw from Iraq was because the American citizens were vehemently AGAINST us staying there...they had enough of this fruitless war based on lies....Obama followed thru on we the people's wishes and demands.

My point on WHY we are STILL there in the EU with bases... still stands.

Yes Hossfly, sorry, but I do doubt your word on that...!

The reason we are still with bases in the EU, is for strategic positioning....if we had a problem with China, we have military that can approach them from the east and west....not just from our west coast, the same with Russia, along with protecting the EU from the then Soviet Block Nations abutting them...

Also, we have most of our eaves dropping done from there on Russia and I would suppose, the middle east, now that we lost our bases in Saudi Arabia, under Bush, and also after we lost our Air Force Base in Tripoli, Lybia.

I am not saying we still need all of the bases there...maybe we could consolidate some more there to save money, but one thing I am not, is foolish enough to believe we could just simply shut them all down...

My father was Stationed at one of these NATO bases in Northern Italy, and he worked in a Communications Squadron, and even though my sister and mother and I were allowed to travel on our passports to Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia...two soviet block countries, my Father, due to his top secret clearance of the highest level, was restricted by the Air Force from traveling there....so times were still very tense with the USA and the Soviet Block countries controlled by Russians....

and even in the USA to this very day, most hacks that occur on our Government sites and email, comes from Russia and China, most spies caught were working for Russia....things are still NOT as lovey dovey as you all, and the Trumpster imply.

Going to Afghanistan after 9-11 was reasonable. The first Iraq War was somewhat reasonable since we were coming to the defense of an ally who was invaded. Other than that, no war the U.S.A has fought since WWII has been worthy. They've all been wars of American aggression and imperialism.

Had we never invaded in the first place we wouldn't need to have that discussion.

Keeping in mind that after World War 2 we still have troops in Germany, Japan, Italy, Britain, and all over the world in countries we defeated in war.....

And that's a problem. We can't afford it.

I can see you enjoy drinking the Kool Aid they are selling, we should never have been involve in the MidEast in the first place.
We should have just bombed the training camps into the stone age in Afghanistan. Nothing more,.

Why?

Because it wasn't started in the name of liberalism?

It's funny how there were so many supposed liberals in Congress for the war before they were against it.

I'm still waiting for you to respond to my last post.

The occupation of Iraq ended on the Bush timetable, and when Iraq told us to get out.

The deal should have been for a hundred years of occupation.

Just like the deals offered to the countries defeated in WWII.

If Iraq didn't like it they should have taken care of their own problem or made their leader comply with UN inspections.

The reason we are still in Germany and Japan is because there was a one hundred year clause in their surrender contracts that said they could not have military capabilities without our approval.

The Iraq War, The whole thing ran very well. We achieved every objective and left the place a stable democracy. Then Obama came in and fucked it all up.
