The Democrat Plantation

Interesting observation:

I am of the view that black Americans will move inexorably and naturally toward conservatism when they are treated as a diverse group with differing interests, and when conservatives stand up for what they believe in rather than standing against blacks.

(But) blacks are not stupid. And no matter how good an idea or proposal is, no one is going to give up the comfort of the leftist status quo as long as they view conservatives as antagonistic to their interest, and conservatives do little or nothing to dispel the perception. If blacks hate or fear conservatives, nothing we say will be heard.

Conservatives must open the door and lay out the welcome mat if there is ever going to be a chance of attracting black Americans. There need be no ideological concessions, just a major attitudinal change.

Sure, but the media is unlikely to undergo such an attitudinal change.

One thing that would help change many attitudes, is if someone who is a so-called "Black conservative" or "Black Republican", comes out with a positive message that doesn't include; "Blacks are on the Democrat plantation", "Blacks want the free stuff", "Blacks are brainwashed", "Black culture is bad", etc.

What I typed in my last two posts above, were excerpts from an article that none other than Clarence Thomas wrote. Here's the article if you are interested:
Making Of A Black Conservative The Ideas Received Positive Reactions, But The Labels Hurt. - Philly.com

Here's an article that better articulates my points:

I think any group of people and Black people in particular, should expand their political horizons and participate in the Libertarian and Republican parties. This goes for any minority group in this country. There are good ideas in different political and social ideologies, I was happy to see a young (30's) Black conservative republican the other day on Foxnews who projected a message of POSITIVITY, there was none of that hucksterism of "Black on the Plantation", etc. . Just a message and ideas anyone of any color who wants to better themselves can get behind.

Stop right there. The MEDIA is not going to change ITS attitude. They don't want to. They have their agenda, they are largely stuffed full of radical leftists, and most of them have no interest in truth, honesty, or fairness in reporting.

LOL, "the media". Foxnews is part of "the Media", the internet has as much coverage as "the Media", there's no need to "stop" anywhere. Why gloss over some half assed issue like "the media" and skip the most important part of it? We both know that "the Media" isn't making those jerk offs talk about the "Democrat plantation" and calling Blacks who vote Democrats as "slaves", they are doing that themselves.

How would you feel if people started walking around stating that "the Asians" were "in the Democrat internment camp" and that they were "coolies", and that they want "free stuff", "affirmative action", that they were "brainwashed", and the rest of the insults hurled toward "the Blacks" by some conservative and black conservatives? After all, the majority of Asians (3-1) did vote for Obama in 2012........................

Some people do say that. Why ask me?

The point is that the Republican party has never been 'anti-this/that/the other' minority. No party in the history of this country has done more for African Americans, for example. There is NO 'racist' plank or attitude in the Republican party but what the far left, via their media mouthpieces, works so hard to convince people of. Pandering or adopting policies that many honestly do not think are best for the country are NOT indicators of support or real concern for any 'valued demographic.' How about the entire country is seen as the 'valued demographic'? Liberals love to say (and some seem to have actually convinced themselves) that anything less than adopting left-wing policies toward certain issues is PROOF of racism or at the very least disregard. That's nonsense.

You never answered about how you felt about those people.

Yes, they freed the slaves 150 years ago. Great! And? :)

Why would Clarence Thomas say this:
"I am of the view that black Americans will move inexorably and naturally toward conservatism when they are treated as a diverse group with differing interests, and when conservatives stand up for what they believe in rather than standing against blacks.

(But) blacks are not stupid. And no matter how good an idea or proposal is, no one is going to give up the comfort of the leftist status quo as long as they view conservatives as antagonistic to their interest, and conservatives do little or nothing to dispel the perception."

RNC Chair Michael Steele:

"Why should an African-American vote Republican?

“You really don’t have a reason to, to be honest — we haven’t done a very good job of really giving you one. True? True,”

“…We have lost sight of the historic, integral link between the party and African-Americans,” Steele said. “This party was co-founded by blacks, among them Frederick Douglass. The Republican Party had a hand in forming the NAACP, and yet we have mistreated that relationship. People don’t walk away from parties, Their parties walk away from them.

“For the last 40-plus years we had a ‘Southern Strategy’ that alienated many minority voters by focusing on the white male vote in the South. Well, guess what happened in 1992, folks, ‘Bubba’ went back home to the Democratic Party and voted for Bill Clinton.”

J.C. Watts:
"Republicans don’t treat blacks any better than Democrats. The so-called “establishment” doesn’t bother with engaging blacks, particularly black Republicans, until elections roll around and candidates need some votes. And even then the GOP barely fakes its “minority outreach,” by creating “advisory councils.”

"Watts told many of us what we already knew “the Republican National Committee really isn’t interested in outreach.” Watts said he’s heard lots of promises from the RNC that it plans welcome more minority voters to the party but has seen no action to back up Chairman Reince Priebus’ words. As I’ve noted numerous times, it’s been nearly a year since the GOP lost the 2012 presidential election because of its failure to woo minority voters and we’ve seen zero change in the RNC’s game plan. It’s still as white centric as ever."

"Watts drew laughter from the black Republicans attending Thursday’s event when he noted “when black Republicans criticize party they are accused of looking for contract work but no one says that about whites. ”

I love this kind of thinking...

I'm not a politician. I'm not trying to get anyones vote. I stand firmly in the Constitution. If you do too...come join me as a conservative.

If you don't....go fuck yourself. I'm not going to "open" any "doors" or "lay out" any "welcome" mats like a desperate, hopeless boy trying to impress a girl. You either believe in the Constitution or you don't. I'm not going to do special favors for someone in hopes that they will vote properly.

If you're dumb enough to vote for Dumbocrat communists, you'll get what you deserve.

Bush legalized torture during an illegal preemptive invasion of a country that didn't attack the US. Any Republican who claims to love the US Constitution should die in prison with George W. Bush.

So the party that has Barack Obama as the first black president of the country is racist towards black people. Is this what you're saying?

Harry Reid said that the reason Obama won was because he was light skinned and did not have a negro dialect.

How is it that history books tell us that the turn of the 20th century was the Progressive movement, but when we look at the turn of the 20th century we see the Middle class in decline pretty much every succeeding decade?

How do they get a free pass by trying to blame everything on the Tea Party who has not been around a decade?

It's like Obama distancing himself from all the scandals like the IRS scandal and the NSA scandal and the Benghazi scandal etc. They are never held accountable and end up smelling like a rose even though they fall continually into a pile of poo.

Which people?

So the party that has Barack Obama as the first black president of the country is racist towards black people. Is this what you're saying?

Herman Cain had a good chance to be nominated until the left viciously attacked him. He later proved the allegations false.

Even Biden and some other Dems talked about how Obama wasn't a typical black. He's only half black and has fairer skin. Plus he's the first clean and articulate black to run. Those were Dem's words.

The left does treat most minorities like helpless little children and they have no faith that they will ever climb out of poverty on their own. They helped them all the way to a permanent life on the liberal plantation and then they pat themselves on the back for their pseudo benevolence.

Dems didn't want to end slavery. When it came about, they quickly found ways to deal with all the newly freed people. Under the guise of making amends for past wrongs, they sought to encourage dependency on government. Help people for too long by doing things for them and they will become less adept at doing things for themselves. That's just human nature. The liberals know that and have manipulated people to their advantage for decades.

Planned Parenthood, another liberal organization, was created with the intention of controlling the black population. The founder felt that blacks were substandard beings and wanted to ensure that they remained a minority. I don't think much has changed considering that the vast majority of abortions are black babies.

Of course, now that the liberal dream of socialism is closer than ever, they want their dependents to increase to ensure that politicians who respect the constitution don't take power and undo the damage they've done, so they want another round of amnesty and they are still trying to keep the race wars going to prompt people to go to the polls. Once they succeed in shredding the constitution, it'll be free birth control and abortions to begin weeding out the population.

Obamacare will be the tool used to thin the herd. Remember, the people making life and death decisions for you know everything about you, including which party you listed on your voter registration.

Yes, they freed the slaves 150 years ago. Great! And?

And then fought against democrat attempts at reinstating slavery under a different guise, fought against the democrat KKK and the blatantly racist attitudes and policies of successive democrat presidents. And the most prominent voice in opposition to FDR's concentration camps was a Republican governor. And generally, instead of engaging in shameless populist pandering, treated ALL Americans as Americans and pursued policies intended to best serve the entire country instead of actively encouraging division, distrust, and spite among countrymen for the sake of political advantage, however limited or brief.

Herman Cain is a moron and that is why Republican voters thought that he was a genius.

It's obvious that you disagree with that statement made by Supreme Court Justice and Black conservative Clarence Thomas. Thanks for the clarification. :)

Really? So I guess that you disagree with Steele, Thomas, Watts, and Powell. Cool!

Yeah individuals can disagree, as opposed to generic 'members' of some group classification - the only way liberals are capable of viewing or dealing with 'people.'
