The "death" of the Republican Party will "save" America.

The Republican Party is 90% white. They are not even trying to get any minority vote.
Blacks
Gays
Hispanics
Muslims
Atheists

They know this is the last presidential election where they could actually win on their policies of division, voter suppression and dishonesty. With changing demographics, there simply aren't enough of them to win future elections without enormous change.

And that is such a good thing.

Minorities aren't kow-towing to the super wealthy.

Minorities aren't against education.

Minorities love children and babies.

Minorities have already learned how to work together. Some blacks may not like the gays. Muslims may not like the atheists. And so on.

Yet, these groups have been working together to create a better country for everyone. The only group blocking progress are Republicans.

And look at Republicans policies:

Anti education
no money to modernize America's infrastructure
tax cuts and subsidies to billionaires and monster corporations
removing important regulations for business and the environment
taking the rest of the country's wealth and throwing it at the military
war
threatening other countries

The worst Republican policy being their anti education policy. Every country on earth is making it easier for it's population to get an education except white Republicans.

What Republicans are doing this time may not be enough. There are two months to the election. What if the Republican base finds out Romney has been lying about Obama's policies on Medicare and Welfare? Two months is a long time to keep a lie going. Worse, many whites don't like racism and will recoil when it becomes obvious to them what Romney is doing.

After this election, the Republican Party can only continue if they welcome minorities. That means their terrible and destructive policies will have to end.

Wasn't it Obama that railed against "slicing and dicing" people into groups?

I like Paul Ryan's quote..

everything-you-need-to-know-about-paul-ryan-in-one-quote.jpg

Obama does it to get elected and push his agenda forward, so that is okay. Just ask any Dem.

Now you see who is dividing this nation people, Democrats-Progressives

You aren't just an American to them, you have to be a GROUP..

Jesus.

If the death of the Republican Party will save America then just what would happen if the Democratic Party died??

Democrat have run out of our money to buy votes. Will Dems be held accountable for making promises they can't keep?

An interesting question.

They haven't run out of money. They just haven't been taking it, yet.

And this is the stupidity of the Plutocratic class.

When we used to have a middle class in this country, we had people who cried shennanigans on teh government taking too much.

That was before the Weird Mormon Robot and his ilk decided they were going to get rid of the middle class.

Let's get rid of that good paying job at GS Steel and replace it with a crappy Minimum wage job at Staples.

And if that Staples employee needs to get Food Stamps to put food on the table and section 8 housing to put a roof over his head, he's going to totally vote Democratic in the future.

Bizarre. Democrats aren't "dividing" people into little groups. The Democrats are "attracting" little groups to become the Democratic Party.

Republicans are 90% white. Hardly divided into "little groups".

Hey, I'm trying to agree with you.

The Republicans may need to follow the Democrat model of identifying people like African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Asian-Americans, Rich-Americans, Poor-Americans, Old-Americans, Young-Americans, Male-Americans, Female-Americans, Gay-Americans, LGBT-Americans, CEO-Americans, non-CEO-Americans and the rest. Hyphenate everyone so that they can be identified and catered to.

This notion the GOP has of treating everyone the same is passe and un-American. Everyone should be treated differently, by their personal identity. Perhaps everyone can be issued a color based on their identity, and then wear clothes in that color to identify themselves. People who want to claim more than one identity - such as Female-African-American-LGBT - get to wear cool, multi-color tye dye clothing. Or maybe some kind of paisley. Just trying to "think out of the box" here.

I agree with you, treating everyone the same is a losing long-term proposition.

.

The Republicans aren't into treating everyone the same either, ace. Even if they are white straight and christian.

When was the last time you had the ear of Mitt Romney. You know..like the Kochs..or Donald Trump.

When was the last time Obama or Reid or Pelosi returned your calls?

Repubz have one target.
murkins.
murkin= person not smart enough to make an informed choice at the polls.
Unfortunately Democraps target the same group.
Both, as history has shown, have been extremely successful.

who gives a shit what you think?..........why dont you involve yourself in Costa Rican politics.....you dont matter up here any more Gordo.....you ran away....remember?....
But the opportunity to shovel horse shit off the streets was just SOOO attractive!

The left is a victim of selective perception. They read that quote and they see:

"I hate minorities."

In 2010, we inflicted the worst ass kicking on opponent since the Soviets retook Stalingrad. Clearly, Americans cannot stand a political party to the Left of Mao and punished Dems accordingly

Voters are reactionary; they were voting their frustrations in 2010. This time around, they don't know who to blame so the election will be close. It's even possible Dems could take back the House. But Rdean is correct about changing demographics. If the Republicans continue to paint themselves into an ideological corner where their basic platform is to protect the wealthy, then they will become an irrelevant party in the future.
The GOP's basic platform is to protect everyone.

If you could see people as individuals and not as members of voting blocs, you'd understand that.

Scratch a leftist, find a totalitarian -- "for the children", of course.

The problem the Republicans have is that they really only represent the 10% that own 90% of the wealth in this country.

Instead of working for the good of the other 90%, they've just tried to find ways to use race, religion, economic status to get them to divide.

Case in point, Romney using this Dog Whistle language on Welfare. It's utterly insane, but he's doing it.

George W. Bush had it about right. He realized that long term, the GOP was going to have to win over non-whites if it is going to have a future. And he made a lot of good faith efforts.

Romney has selfishly calculated that his only chance to beat Obama is to get people worked up about race. He probably realizes he has no chance with blacks because of Obama's historic importance, and he's blown his chance with Hispanics by going full Minuteman/Sheriff Joe. So really, this is all he's got left.

"Obama wants to give them welfare people your money".
"No one has ever asked to see MY birth certificate"

Even if he prevails, he's probably ruined it for future Republican candidates.
