The Republican Party is 90% white. They are not even trying to get any minority vote.

They know this is the last presidential election where they could actually win on their policies of division, voter suppression and dishonesty. With changing demographics, there simply aren't enough of them to win future elections without enormous change.

And that is such a good thing.

Minorities aren't kow-towing to the super wealthy.

Minorities aren't against education.

Minorities love children and babies.

Minorities have already learned how to work together. Some blacks may not like the gays. Muslims may not like the atheists. And so on.

Yet, these groups have been working together to create a better country for everyone. The only group blocking progress are Republicans.

And look at Republicans policies:

Anti education
no money to modernize America's infrastructure
tax cuts and subsidies to billionaires and monster corporations
removing important regulations for business and the environment
taking the rest of the country's wealth and throwing it at the military
war
threatening other countries

The worst Republican policy being their anti education policy. Every country on earth is making it easier for it's population to get an education except white Republicans.

What Republicans are doing this time may not be enough. There are two months to the election. What if the Republican base finds out Romney has been lying about Obama's policies on Medicare and Welfare? Two months is a long time to keep a lie going. Worse, many whites don't like racism and will recoil when it becomes obvious to them what Romney is doing.

After this election, the Republican Party can only continue if they welcome minorities. That means their terrible and destructive policies will have to end.

You could be right. Political Correctness and Identity Politics have been very effective strategies for the Democrats, dividing people into little groups. The GOP may have to go in that direction to survive, we'll see.

.

Bizarre. Democrats aren't "dividing" people into little groups. The Democrats are "attracting" little groups to become the Democratic Party.

Republicans are 90% white. Hardly divided into "little groups". No one "identifies" more with the Republicans than "whites". To Republicans, everyone else is "them" and "foreign".

Hey, I'm trying to agree with you.

The Republicans may need to follow the Democrat model of identifying people like African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Asian-Americans, Rich-Americans, Poor-Americans, Old-Americans, Young-Americans, Male-Americans, Female-Americans, Gay-Americans, LGBT-Americans, CEO-Americans, non-CEO-Americans and the rest. Hyphenate everyone so that they can be identified and catered to.

This notion the GOP has of treating everyone the same is passe and un-American. Everyone should be treated differently, by their personal identity. Perhaps everyone can be issued a color based on their identity, and then wear clothes in that color to identify themselves. People who want to claim more than one identity - such as Female-African-American-LGBT - get to wear cool, multi-color tye dye clothing. Or maybe some kind of paisley. Just trying to "think out of the box" here.

I agree with you, treating everyone the same is a losing long-term proposition.

And of course we know the best method to improve education is to keep throwing money at it. That has worked SO WELL so far.

Sorry but you can't hold Democrats to the same standard as you hold Republicans, that's just not fair.

once again....Cal being a prime example of how that worked....

In 2010, we inflicted the worst ass kicking on opponent since the Soviets retook Stalingrad. Clearly, Americans cannot stand a political party to the Left of Mao and punished Dems accordingly

100% correct. Of course..this isn't all Republicans..but the ones that still feel that non-christians/white/straight people are still Americans..are being pushed out of the Republican party..and very quickly.

I don't welcome the "death" of the Republican party..far from it. I actually agree with old guard Republicans on many issues. But this nativist, theocratic, and confederate wing needs to be purged. We need a loyal opposition dedicated to expressing rational, alternative views that make sense.

The Republicans aren't into treating everyone the same either, ace. Even if they are white straight and christian.

When was the last time you had the ear of Mitt Romney. You know..like the Kochs..or Donald Trump.

Repubz have one target.
murkins.
murkin= person not smart enough to make an informed choice at the polls.
Unfortunately Democraps target the same group.
Both, as history has shown, have been extremely successful.

You make a good case here and certainly we need to kill the Republican Party before it kills America, like a doctor who will only lower your temp and it’s down to 68 already, if you don’t get the hell out of there that doctor is going to kill you and the Republican Party does not believe there is a good temp or tax rate they just want to lower it no matter what and they will kill America if Americans don’t kill them.

However do not underestimate the power of the Robert’s Court to give money power over the will of the people, thanks to the Robert’s Court the people of AZ cannot even match a rich guy dollar for dollar in a political race even if we want to. When you combine that with the voter control moves of the Republican Party and soon they could be getting 99% of the vote.
