The Civil War brewing among Democrats

Yes, Obama has made concessions to the right. Dropping the public option from healthcare
Failing to get enough votes from DEMOCRATS is hardly a concession.

As though lying and war mongering are exclusive traits of the right.

agreeing to more offshore drilling
With full knowledge that it is states which stand in the way of most offshore drilling, and when there's plenty of oil to be found ONshore.

Like I said...This "centrist" crap is comedy gold coin!:lol::lol:

Oh yes...thanks for reminding me

Adopting Mitt Romneys Healthcare plan as a model for the country

Mitt Romney's healthcare plan was a fiscal disaster....and yet the left adopted it.:lol:

Democrats' Civil War: The Fight Within the Party - The Daily Beast

Yes, the GOP is certainly seeing grand divides among its ranks, with Tea Party supporters pulling in different directions, but now the liberal wing of the Democrats are beginning to show intolerance for the centrist direction of this administration....????? HUH?

obama is quite centrist. the left wanted single payer, he settled for a muddled private/public insurance deal. the left wanted gitmo closed, patrito act repealed, and iraq war ended pronto. none of that happened. left wanted prosecution of bush/cheney. that didn't even come close to happening. there are tons more examples, but Obama is quite centrist, he just looks far left after having GW around for 8 years.

You are correct... he settled, it was not what he wanted just the best he could do.

"Centrist" administration.....**chortle**

Does the hilarity ever end with these stooges?
roflolrhard.gif

do you know the plans the left really had? what obama talked about during his campaign. the laws made and implemented are quite center

I'd have to say that yes, most of us do know what they had planned and that was why we were so opposed to him in the first place and some are struggling to come to realize that he will compromise to some extent.

The Health Insurance reform is IMHO a disaster yet, it was in many ways a compromise. Had he gotten everything he wanted... oh shit! Time to thank my lucky stars.

But the Obvious is not so Obvious...obviously.

But the Obvious is not so Obvious to the Oblivious... obviously.

When I read this I went back to find the "oblivious" that I knew had to be there, but when it wasn't I thought I should add it. Hope you don't mind.

As though Romney is anything to shout about.

Still, that doesn't refute the fact that you couldn't get enough votes in your own party.

Yes..he needed the votes from the.....ummm whats the word?

"Centrist" elements of the Democratic party. He needed to propose a plan that was more palatable to the moderates in order to get a plan that would pass.

If Obama were an extreme liberal, he would have insisted on a Government run national healthcare system

Your really not this naive, leftwinger. You and I both know that you can't jump from what we have right now to a government run healthcare system. BHO knew that passing the healthcare bill will squeeze out the competition to get to the government healthcare system.

Internal White House documents reveal that 51% of employers may have to relinquish their current health care coverage by 2013 due to ObamaCare. That numbers soars to 66% for small-business employers.
Administration: 51% Of Companies? Health Plans Won?t Pass Muster

Does this clear it up for you, leftwinger?

That's still not a concession from republicans, deflectopottamus.

We are talking political leanings dudeopotomus....

Concessions to the center makes one more centrist......adopting the conservative endorsed healthcare strategy vs a national healthcare plan, makes one more centrist

He's not a centrist, doofus.
He has a strategy to get what he wants.....and what he wants lies on the left edge.

Rationales are irrelevant....

The issue is the policies he has adopted vs political leanings. The right paints Obama as extreme left wing. In practice, his implementation has been more left center.

If the Republicans were actually willing to participate in the political process, they could have gotten him to move even more to the center....but they would rather vote NO than work out a compromise

What kind of messed up world do we live in where the government takeover of 70% of our economy isn't going far enough for people?

People that say the Republican and Democratic Parties are the same crack me up.

The Republican Party, 90% white and mostly Christian - 6% of scientists are Republican which demonstrates how they value "education". Difficulty in achieving a "consensus"? Near zero.

The Democratic Party: White, black, brown, asian, gay, straight, men, women, liberal, conservative, young, old. - the majority of scientists in this country identify as "Democrats", college professors voted Democrat 12 to 1. Difficulty in achieving a "consensus"? Very difficult.

His views are not a big secret that only the left knows, leftwinger. Just because he can't even pass his far left ideals in his own party, he has to take another approach to get to his goals. Make no mistake, he has to be in the top 3 far left presidents this nation has nominated.

You saying any different doesn't make it so.

The health care bill was designed to regulate the industry so that insurance companies won't be able to afford to stay in business. By the first of the year they'll have to raise premiums to pay for all of the new government requirements.

Then Obama will demonize them for raising their rates.

Then they'll fold within a year or two and he'll take over the insurance industry and then whoopsie......you'll have your single-payer system in place....

You see Obama tries to talk like a Centrist when in fact he's as far left as they come. He just pays lip-service to the center.

what does your post have to do with anything? they govern the same way which is what we mean when we say there is no difference between R and D.
