Now other posters are jumping on this bandwagon. There's a thread recently posted about the Worst Presidents.

Obama? Seriously? I could name 12 worse leaders without even looking things up.

It's just a list of people the US right wing doesn't like.

Mao was much worse than Hitler and Stalin. Not necessarily in number killed, perhaps he killed 30 million people, which is a lot, and they were his own people, but he had a lot of people to not lead effectively, but he was so inconsistent, he made enemies just to keep people occupied and stop them thinking about how bad Mao was. He'd tell someone to do something, then kill them because he didn't like that policy any more and they had implemented it.

Stalin saved his country from certain defeat. For all the inevitable issues people will have with him, as a leader he was actually quite successful, and it's about 12 worst leaders, not 12 worst maniacs, which would probably include Stalin every time.

Hitler was also a great leader, not amazing, he had his major problems that led to his downfall, but he got there in the first place. Again, on the list of maniacs or murderers Hitler would be up there with the worst (or should it be best?) of them.

The claims of Gadaffi, that he killed a few hundred people as their evidence, hell, Bush sent 4,000 US soldiers to the deaths in Iraq, 40,000 were maimed, plus Afghanistan, plus the economic crisis that destroyed plenty of people's lives, plus Katrina, plus the massive mess up in Iraq after the war in 2003 that's still a problem 11 years later. But again, is this a leadership issue, one of causing death and madness?

Most of the people on this list are there because they could LEAD PEOPLE to do what they wanted to do.

It's not they were bad leaders, it's that they were leaders the right in the US didn't like.

I don't think Obama is a great leader, most, except Mao, were probably better leaders than him, however he's not the worst by any stretch of the imagination. It's just Obama bashing.

What criteria do you use for a president being a failure (ie, this isn't what has Obama done to be a failure, because inevitably you just list things you didn't like that he did) I want what makes any president a failure and we'll put this next to all the others and see.

You only need look to what is happening in the country. The US is far more divided, less prosperous and stagnant. We are in a period of malaise which is tangible to all Americans, with only a shrinking few who cannot seem to give up the ghost of the Obama administration. Clearly, it is time to move on.

I feel there are so many worst leaders that are most evil men in history too. Just take a look at Dick Cheney that as vice president of US, because of him a lot of people suffered badly. I hate him.
