You do know that every case is different, right? Just because some people awaken from a "brain-dead" state, is no indication Schiavo would have. Which of the people you list had 2/3rds of their brain dissolve into liquid? Which of them were in a persistent vegetative state for 15 years?The Terri Schiavo case was yet another example of the arrogance common to most conservatives, of their propensity to use the power and authority of the state to compel conformity with their subjective, errant dogma, exhibiting complete disregard for the facts and truth – where in fact Schiavo was dead and the family should have been allowed to address the tragedy privately without the unwarranted, unwanted interference of Bush and other conservatives.
