Critizism of Bush is just that critizism of Bush. I really don't care if you critize Obama, I do that too. My problem is making Obama into a socialist dictator wanna-be when he IS NOT, he's just an American politician... and that's bad enough.

Point understood...Obama IS just another politician who is there to represent the people. When he puts stories out that "they have complete control over" this does journalism a huge disservice because they think "well...Obama's team did all of our work!!! Let's just put it out like they gave it to us." I find this whole issue quite telling in that Obama seems to have pulled a page from Hugo Chavez's book.

If you control what the media sees and hears about you...you control the media.

In that sense yeah.. of course. I agree. Same way I control what people see me do outside of my house and what I choose to leave in my house they don't see. Simple concept and a politically smart one at that... but it's dangerous in it's own right. I find it rediculous though when certain people attribute the tactic to communism. Communism and socialism are now just turning into broad terms to denounce anything certain people don't like. It's to multifacated of an ideology to just pin someone on. I guess that's just why I'm annoyed.

When you get right down to it, she admitted to nothing more than something past US governments and governments all over the world do. It's up to the media to ferret out what they're not saying.

It's not about it being OK; it just is what it is and has been for other Presidents before him, both GOP and Dem. There's nothing unique about what's being said here, but the ODS with you guys is so strong that it looks somehow different.

Consider this...perhaps this time it IS ACTUALLY DIFFERENT this time. In all of my life I have NEVER seen the media fawn over a Presidential candidate/President the way they did/are with Obama...and I dare say we will never see that happen again.

I suppose. That's why our mainstream media has to try to dig deeper than what's served up to them. A good portion of them didn't do it with the last POTUS and a lot of the same culprits aren't doing it now because they like their access.
