A GLOBAL WARMING STATE OF EMERGENCY is declared in South Park. The world's largest beaver dam breaks and floods the adjacent town of Beaverton. As the victims wait for help to arrive, everyone in South Park tackles priority number one: who is to blame? Only Stan and Cartman know who’s really at fault.

I'm looking forward to this.

I'm noticing a lot of people are having no problem making jokes about the hurricane in New Orleans. Obviously, it's no big thing for South Park to be making jokes about it, they were one of the first ones to make jokes about terrorism, et al. just a few weeks after 9/11.

But, people like Conan O'Brien are making a lot of jokes about the disaster that I could definitely see people getting offended over. It's weird, because I remember there was a real hush-hush feeling about the tsunami that there just never was during Katrina. I guess the lower body count has something to do with it.

MSN could not play on this one after the un-honorable mayor of NO went on TV and proclaimed to all the enormous amount of lives to be lost...'over 10,000' then as it turned out it was extremely short of this projection! Duck and cover is what they did after this fiasco!

I loved this movie! It had me laughing so hard, especially with all the actors being made fun of. Alec Baldwin-F.A.G. , Susan Sarandon-F.A.G., et al. As well as Kim Jong Ill (sp?)

We bought the 2-disc set for this movie, and there are behind the scenes stuff with Trey & Matt, and they say straight out "We hate actors. Being an actor is one of the most self serving things you could do..." I don't remember the rest, but they tell you why they make the stuff they do.

And, this is dumb, but I liked when Gary was telling the story to the terrorists about his family getting killed and he says "That day, I put a Jihad on them. And if you don't like it... I'll put a Jihad on you, too."

Hah! Could you imagine being given $20 million (or however much it was) to make a movie, then showing the executives at Paramount a scene like that? :happy2:

I don't know. I do know that the movie is actually banned in North Korea, though! I'd hate to have to be the guy to show that movie to Kim Jong-Il.

i dont think they had to even show it. paramount made their south park movie, and that was pretty nasty, so i would think that paramount knew what trey and matt are capable of, that they will do almost anything outrageous, nothing is surprising coming from these 2.

That was great. The 3 kids coming on the boat to "save" the citizens of Beaverton was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. They really like to give it to those shitty action movies whenever they can, don't they?

Nah. The irony is somehow fitting.

I like Matt and Trey, and I loved the movie. I probably bought one of the first DVDs sold when it came out. They were still putting copies on the shelf when I walked by and grabbed one.

When it comes to Matt and Trey, it's not just that they are equal opprotunity offenders, it's the fact that they put some things in such simple terms. The NAMBLA episode of South Park is a good example. People are going on about what is right or wrong and talking about freedoms and rights and yadda yadda yadda. I think it was Stan that said, "Dude...YOU HAVE SEX WITH LITTLE BOYS!"

Kind of reminds me of the child porn thread awhile back. There are some things that you really shouldn't have to explain why it's wrong.
