Stalking is legal? If you're in a union, sure!

[

I'm sure you do. You have shown several times that truth is irrelevant to you.

But when we are discussing the union's exemption to stalking laws, a judge citing that exemption when he dismisses a case is pretty important. At least it is if you are interested in the truth.

And no slander here. Just the truth. But feel free to point out where I have slandered anyone. Or should we just accept that this is more of your lying?

Naw, you just call working folks demanding a fair wage from a scab company criminals because they object about it.

No slander at all, Cleetus. Derpa, derp, you think we should all work harder for less money and like it.

Please point out where I slandered anyone for demanding a fair wage? I demand that people not be violent. I demand that everyone be the same under the law. I demand that people have the freedom to choose whether they work for a union or not. You are the one slandering. Without knowing what the workers are paid, you claim that they are under paid. Without knowing what benefits they receive, you insist that they are being abused.

Ok, so you are slandering AND lying.

I think we should all work for what we agreed to work for. I believe it is my responsibility to better myself. It is not some violent thug's job to beat people up, threaten people, and destroy property to intimidate someone into following their demands.

Here is an interesting fact: "According to the National Institute for Labor Relations Research there have been 4,400 recorded acts of labor violence since 1991.".

Why would an exemption to stalking be appropriate for someone in a group responsible for 4,400 acts of violence in 20 years?

Unions have been given too many special privileges. They should not be above the law as they are in so many issues. I have no problem with them doing what they do. But they should be held to the same laws that I am, the employers are, and everyone else is held to.

I think if you pass laws that protect all workers from unfair firings, unfair abuse and have real workers rights in this country, then you can go back and tell the unions to act nicely.

Until then, meh, not getting worked up because someone got the tires on their Lexus Douchemobile slashed.

You try and sound like you want some noble quest for worker's rights. But the workers that are not union have no rights, according to you. According to you, even if they are fine with what they make and happy on their job, you think someone should be able to threaten them, beat them, slash their tires and destroy their work. And what is worse, you think these thugs should be immune from the law when they do it.

Your hypocrisy is still amazing. You talk like one class should have different laws than the other. That ain't how it works, Sparky.

First you make sure everyone is held to the same laws. Until then, me, not getting worked up about the dwindling union membership.

They felt bad enough about it to organize a strike.

That's kind of good enough for me.

ANd here's the thing. I'd have no problem with "what I agreed to". But frankly, every employer I've ever had has lied to me at some point about "what I agreed to".

Current job for instance.

"Hey, Joe, this is a 90 day temp to hire, and after 90 days we bring you on full time and give you a raise." Didn't agree to this when they first offered it to me, but the second time around, I did. After the last job fired me after agreeing with me that health insurance was part of my plan.

Anyway. They didn't take me off temp to hire for 432 days. Switched me from hourly to salary which was a net loss. But it was 2009 and we had 10% unemployment and they knew they could get away with that sort of shit.

And frankly, this is one of the BETTER companies I've worked for.

So, no, there;s not a point where I'm ever going to break out the weepy towell for 1%ers because working folks stopped putting up with their shit.

Fuck them.

You should, Cleetus. Because frankly, when half the country's on welfare because they can't get decent paying jobs, it's only a matter of time before we get true socialism.

When the poor have nothing left to eat, they will eat the rich.

Yes, spider-troll you spent all day working on those 400 lbs man-boobs.... and getting your disability check.

Hey you better go punch the time clock there wage slave or you might get fired again.

May your chains lie lightly upon you this day.

Yeah, there are places I don't want to work. I have had jobs that basically kept me afloat until I found better. But I always found better. No one had to be beaten for it to happen either.

And I am not saying anyone has to put up with anyone's shit. But the laws are written for everyone. Not just for some.

Don't like the job? Find another or start your own business.

Such dramatic predictions!! "...they will eat the rich."??? LMAO!!

I have a decent paying job. Plenty of people have decent paying jobs. The welfare rolls are so big because of the economic collapse from the housing bubble bursting. Do you think raising the pay of the construction workers in the housing market will help?

You seem to be operating under the misconception that I think unions are always bad. I have no issue with collective bargaining. What I have an issue with is the fact that unions are allowed tobreak the laws that the rest of us have to follow. I also have issues with the way the unions have gained power by paying politicians who then got them special privileges.

If someone wants to join a union, that is great. No one should be FORCED to join a union. And more importantly, no one should be forced to pay union dues if they chose to to join.

Half the country isn't on welfare and can't get a job.

It's a very repeatable pattern.

Don't like the job? Find another or start your own business.

Or fight for laws that make the douchebags behave themselves.

That works so much better because, hey, it just doesn't benefit me. It benefits eveyrone, it benefits the country.

You see, Cleetus, you kind of emphasize the GOP Motto- I got mine, FUck you.

NOt for a lack of trying by your pals on Wall Street.

You see, we had this wonderful, bright moment when we had full Employment under Clinton. And it was awesome. And the 1%ers absolutely hated it, because they had to compete for employees as opposed to making the employees compete for jobs.

So one stolen election and two recessions later, and the 1%ers have us right where they want us.

For now.

Then they act all surprised when a guy like Obama gets elected. Twice.

Bullshit. I challenge you to show me where I have said anything of the kind. Or is it just more lying?

I want laws that apply to everyone.

YOu mean you don't want working people to be able to fight back.

Because, frankly, I've never seen you on an abortion thread denouncing those folks. And they've fucking actually KILLED people.

I mean I want laws to apply to everyone. What is hard to understand about that?

I typically stay away from abortion threads. Both sides push the extremes and there is no discussion or compromise, just accusations and name-calling.
