At least one staffer at the Nashville Christian school where six people were gunned down this week is usually armed for pupils’ security, according to a teacher who called 911 begging for help.

“We do have a school person — or two, I’m not sure — who would be packing, whose job it is for security,” one woman told a dispatcher while cowering under a desk during Monday’s rampage at the Covenant School.

“We don’t have security guards, but we have a staff.”

The 911 call — one of about two dozen made during the terrifying 14-minute bloodbath — was the first suggestion that staff at the Christian school may have been armed.

It challenges pro-gun activists who claim allowing teachers to carry is an easy recipe to end such violence.

“You know, there’s never been a school shooting in a school that allows teachers to carry,” Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) claimed in a war of words on the House floor Wednesday about the Nashville carnage.

in ths case the shooter said they had other targets but rejected them because of known armed guards,,,

Probably sitting in the teachers lounge taking a smoke break.

Way to miss the point.

maybe you missed the point,,

did any of this teachers kids get killed??

that brings a bigger reason for a guard that covers the entrances since an armed teacher can only protect those under her care and should not be leaving them to confront a shooter somewhere else in the building,,,

Yeah...when you confirm this, get back to us..........

Yeah......hard to get past that point....there were apparently two other schools on the target list....both were considered to have too much security......

Way to miss the point.

No, it doesn't......if that staff member had a gun, they used it to protect the students under their care.......those students were safe....

What you need, dumb ass....is a policy where multiple staff members are armed, and that this policy is known....like the other two schools that would have been attacked, but weren't , because they had too much security......

This school did not have a policy of arming the staff...how do we know, because if they did, that would have been reported in the news......it wasn't reported, even now....so they didn't have a policy that armed staff members.....you idiot.

Yeah.......it is amazing that idiots like this are able to take so much power in a country.......and are able to cause such murder and mayhem when they do...

In order for police to be effective they have to do their job. We saw in Parkland and Uvalde where the police did not do their job.

If, and that is a big if, there was security at the school and they did not do their job what is the difference?

There wasn't......we would know if there was actual security there...not this rumor that someone may have had a gun on them.......

If it was a school policy, the attacker wouldn't have attacked, since we know two other schools were targeted, and passed over because they actually had security on site......
