Special Counsel Asks Supreme Court To Rule Quickly Whether Trump Can Be Prosecuted

Not just because Trump is a criminal, but giving him the power of the presidency, means he can effectively tear down the ability of the federal government to prosecute him when he leaves office.

Through pardons and patronage, the president can shield himself from the law.
If he was to get back in what makes you think he would ever willfully leave office?

And as usual conservatives attempt to defend the indefensible – in this case the wrongheaded notion that presidents are above the law and immune from criminal prosecution.
No Mrs. Jones.....innocent people who have not broken any laws are immune from pigheaded unlawful prosecution by Reich nazis.
There, fixed it for you.

Yes, otherwise we have chaos. Do you want to see conservative DA's indicting Obama on murder, or how about eco terrorism charges for Joe Biden if we find out he ordered the attack on Nord Stream pipeline?

There isnt a president in existence that cant be tried for dozens of crimes if we take away their immunity.
Why would Obama be tried for murder?

Get ready, when the SCOTUS rules in Trump's favor and demolishes the Dem's witch hunt Dems will again be demanding to RIG the SCOTUS with a bunch more liberal justices.
That won't happen. It will speed the trial up. It will start in the spring. There may be even a conviction before election day.

Then you believe that Obama should be in prison for murdering US civilians? How about for drone striking a wedding?
Cool, you do know that a week after tRump got in office that he ordered a drone strike that killed that same man's even younger daughter!

So I say prosecute both of them and throw away the key after they are in prison, agree?

Yeah, pretty interesting. This gets it over with, one way or the other, and would take away his main argument.

This court? Who knows what they'll say, or what they'll do.

If the Court upholds the former Adulterer-in-Chief's argument it opens up a would of possibilities for Don's second term. He's already committed multiple crimes as prez with no guarantee of immunity. Imagine what happens if the Roberts court gives him carte blanche to go on a limitless crime spree.

What crimes? Contesting a fraudulent election is perfectly legal.

Weepy sleepy cryfacing “He almost took over the country”
