I'm north coast USA. Toledo, Ohio.

Right at the edge of tornado alley.

I'd rather have a cool eclipse than a tornado. A tornado ripped down my mulberry tree in the back yard.

Go to the grocery store and see how much mulberries cost. Good luck with that. They don't sell mulberries at any price ::(:

I used to love making mulberry pancakes and mulberry biscuits.

I will be in Cape Girardeau, MO for the total eclipse, about 2 1/2 hours north of Jackson, TN.

I'd grab a beer....or a whiskey flask.

Or both.

As long as I don't have to hear about how scary ORANGE MAN is. ;)

I guess it would be one in a billion if you saw the eclipse and experienced a major earthquake at the same time.

---We're overdue for another one---

I figure the best place to view is right behind the casino on the banks of the Mississippi. I bet that parking lot will be packed. Planning on taking a pair of the cheap glasses from the Eye Clinic. I might get a view of the Devil's Comet, 25 degrees to the right after total darkness. Two astronomical events simultaneous on one trip.

Based.

I checked it out , and Hermitage PA just misses it. I'll have to go to Meadville if I want to see it.
