Well, a well-known democrat doesn't think so, or at least he didn't back in 1991:
.
.
“The next person that refers to an FBI report as being worth anything obviously doesn’t understand anything,” Biden said. “FBI explicitly does not, in this or any other case, reach a conclusion. Period.”

“The reason why we cannot rely on the FBI report — you wouldn’t like it if we did, is because it is inconclusive,” he continued. “They say ‘He said, she said, and they said.’ Period. So when people are waving FBI report before you, understand they do not, they do not, they do not reach conclusions. They do not make, as my friend points out, they do not make recommendations.”

Watch Joe Biden Call FBI Investigations Into Sexual Harassment Worthless

So who is the well-known democrat? One Joe Biden, who at the time was the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee during the Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill mess.

Seriously, what is an FBI investigation going to provide for us that we don't already know? We know what she said, we know what he said, we know what they said (witnesses). We know that she doesn't know where she was or when it happened, not even the freakin' year, and NOBODY can verify or corroborate her story. So WTF is an FBI investigation going to do, other than delay the confirmation, which of course is the entire point of this unscrupulous and highly unethical bullshit political charade.

Kavanaugh fits the profile of the wealthy, spoiled, entitled frat boy when he was in high school and college, the type of kid who has no filters, who's drinking is out of control, and believes he can do what he wants. So it's possible these things could have happened, and I'm certainly not willing to say there's no way they happened. However, if we have an FBI investigation, what can they possibly find? No eye witnesses, no video recordings, nothing that could prove it happened. We'd still end up where we are now, a he said she said situation. An FBI investigation would be a waste of time and money.

The FBI is welcome to get copies of the sworn affidavits from the people named by Ford. All of which say that they have no knowledge of it happening.

task0778 to prevent competition or disruption of either due process for Ford or Kavanaugh and the confirmation process
I'd suggest separating the two processes so they can both be conducted in full without interference by the other.

First hold initial hearings UNDER SWORN OATH with Ford, Kavanaugh and any others that can participate by the set deadline.
if not, Kavanaugh can make a comprehensive sworn statement including his position on those specific testimonies.
And set an agreed condition in advance, that if a fuller investigation reveals Kavanaugh lying under oath,
he will voluntarily resign.

Then after that process is done, Ford and others are free to pursue full investigation of the complaints
of any conspiracy to violate rights of individuals, even minors by other minors, and take their time to fully resolve
these issues with all parties responsible, whether for having knowledge or being the parents or property owners responsible.

Again, the parties should agree in advance, that if anything is found to be perjury, those individuals
agree to legal consequences. And conduct the investigations without interfering with any other timelines.

Should we require an FBI Investigation on Kavanaugh?
They already did.

Democrats want another investigation so they can delay long enough to (hail mary) take back the Senate and block anyone but an "IT'S ALIVE" constitutional buttfucker who will make the constitution meaningless by interpreting it to mean anything.

Why?

Because communism is unconstitutional.

But if the FBI investigates Kavanagh's claims after he is seated, his neighbor living three doors down today, is liable to get busted for an expired inspection sticker, and two cocktail waitresses in Cancun may be indicted, although never brought to court to testify.

Answer me this: why didn't any of the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee send their investigators to go with the GOP investigators out to CA or wherever to determine the truth. Answer: they already know the truth and it does not serve their purpose. They don't want the justice, they don't give a fuck about Ford, they want to delay the vote and deny Kavanaugh if they can. And there is nothing they won't stoop to accomplish that. They know that an FBI investigation will turn up NOTHING, all it will do is delay the vote if the GOP allows that to happen. And THAT is what they want.
