It beats me why illegal immigration has been allowed to go on unimpeded and even supported for so many years that we have over 11 million of them living here. It is outrageous, but there must be some reason why the powers that be have let it go on for so long. (Do NOT make the argument that the Democrats have imported them all because they needed more voters.) Whatever that actual reason is, either focus on it and solve that problem or leave the poor bastards alone. They just want to work and get ahead in life like everyone else. I'd rather see them accepted into our country and paying taxes than the limbo we are in right now. Only after the border is REALLY secured, though--otherwise it will just cheerfully invite another 11 million to come over.

EWI's don't necessarily have to be proven in a court of law that they are EWI, neither do visa overstays. The Admin simply has the choice to criminally prosecute for deportation or simply remove them.
