Always remember that McConnell and company met from Obama's first days as president and concluded that their MOST important role was to ensure that Obama would only be a one-term president and that anything that Obama proposed (even former GOP initiatives) should be met with elected GOPers' opposition.

Should the same be done with the Trump administration? Will we gain have a do-nothing (except constant opposition) congress?

Absolutely!!! Undermine him on infrastructure spending, Obstruct him on Obamacare replacement. Oppose him on trade renegotiation. Fight him on rebuilding the inner cities and education reform. I'd love to see a country completely free of Democrat influence...and with your help, we can see that dream come to fruition!

Are you then stating that for the last 8 years we have had a "country completely free" of GOP influences???

Did or did not the GOP oppose ANYTHING that Obama proposed?

Well, Tipsy stated that Trump will undertake infrastructure spending (while giving huge tax cuts, by the way)....so such a proposal will only reflect what Obama has been trying to get across but denied by the GOP congress.

Secondly, re-tooling Obamacare really boils down to KEEPING most of what the ACA got across.

Third, re-negotiating trade deals is a good thing, but since it takes 2 to tango, we will see how well THAT works out.....I wish trump lots of luck on this latter objective....Really, I do.

Go for it, who gives a shit what you snowflakes do.
We're going to laugh at you when you begin to wail about the nuclear option.

YES. Because the Mango Mussolini must go. Everyone thinks the Clintons sold access through the CGI? Ha, they ain't seen nothing yet.
AND Because we're going to have a do-nothing Congress again anyway.

The difference between then and now, is that Republicans have all the power now as opposed to Democrats having it then. Any attempt by Democrats to undermine Trump's plans will assuredly fail.

If we have a do nothing congress, it will be because of Democrats this time around. Careful what you wish for nat.

Nat you did not only lose at the presidential and congressional level you lost at the state level. The short D bench is getting shorter. Given the line up 2018 and 2020 how do you plan to implement your plan?

True........and since the GOP led congress did NOTHING and got rewarded this election.......what will happen if the current GOP-led congress STILL does nothing?

The incoming regime should be allowed enough rope to raise all of them off the ground until the they stop their death throes for all that deserve that end. 2018 isn't that far away and Trump could well be removed from office before that! Patience...revenge is a dish best served cold!

Beware of a Pence administration. He's a closet evangelical totalitarian along the line of Cheney, where Trump is just a bumbling, lying narcissist with a big mouth!

Obama had 2 years with huge majorities in the House and Senate. He did such a great job that Dems improved their margins...nationwide. Wait, you mean the American people saw what he did and didn't like it? LOL!

what will happen if the current GOP-led congress STILL does nothing?

Then it will be no different then when Democrats controlled both houses. They held supermajorities in both houses for over 120 days, they could have passed sweeping gun control legislation, environmental policy, entitlement reform... anything they wanted. But they chose to ram a healthcare law down our throats. And when they lost those supermajorities, a do nothing congress was a result.

That lie....swallowed by many morons.....has been proven false over and over,,,,

Check out the senate under Obama's first 2 years....and check out Kennedy's status, Byrd's status, and Franken's status.....then get back in touch with us.

Are there any "elected Democrats" left?

Now.......why insist on showing your ignorance.....

When did Obama have that "super-majority"????
...and WHEN was the ACA passed???

The Rep Congress did a lot of things, but accomplished few of them thanks to the Senate. And even if those bills got past the Senate, DumBama would have never signed them anyway. Harry Weed left leadership with dozens and dozens of congressional bills that were tabled and not going anywhere.

But even with a slight majority, the Senate minority can stop a lot of things, including the most important bill called Kates Law. That's the law that would have given a five year minimum prison sentence for those felon illegals who came back to our country after being deported. It would have also stopped money going to sanctuary cities. The Democrats made sure that never made it to DumBama's desk.
