    How do i back up or make an xtra copy of service pack3,serious question i'm very new to computers,i have windows xp home edition.

    Please clarify what you're asking about. Since SP3 is always on the Windows Update servers, there's generally no need to make a backup of it.

    Are you, perhaps, asking how to put XP SP3 on to a CD/DVD, so you can take it to a computer without internet access?

    In any case, you can download the standalone XP SP3 update file here.

    Yes, it says "for IT professionals", but ignore that. That's the right file.
