Yesterday on the stand Pecker testified that the plan was to hold the stories he was involved with (Doorman and McDougal) through the campaign, that after the election he could the publish the stories.

So we have testimony yesterday from one of the principals, and the prosecution indicates that FPOTUS#45 talked about stiffing Daniels if they could delay the payment until after the election. If that did happen there would have been no NDA and she would have been free to sell the story to other media outlets.

#1 Melania already knew about Daniels, the boinking occurred in 2006 and the boinking had ALREADY been reported in the media in 2011. So "protect" her in 2016 from something she already knew about and had already been reported?

#2 Why if the intent was to "protect" Melania, did she only need "protection" for the 11-days or so remaining to the election? Why "protect" her before the election but not "protect" her after election day?

Based on Peckers testimony and if they do have the evidence mentioned in the image above, that pretty much proves beyond a reasonable doubt to a reasonable person that it wasn't about "protecting Melania" it was about protecting FPOTUS#45's campaign. Oh same applies if you swap "protect Melania" with "protect the Trump brand name".

Why didn't the IRS go to court over this matter? Attorneys familiar with this claim the term hush money is wrong to use anyway. I notice they do not show actual documents. Pecker's testimony puts the lie to the idea that paying off Stormy Daniels was to "protect Melania" from the truth about her husband's affairs. Pecker's testimony was that they had to sit on the stories until after the election, but they could print them after the election was over.

Trump has claimed that paying off Daniels had nothing to do with the election. It was all about "protecting Melania". So why wouldn't that protection extend to after the election, if it was all about Melania. Great way to blow the defense strategy all to hell on the first day of testimony.

That and the judge telling Trump's lawyer that he was in danger of losing ALL credibility with the court, over his lie that Trump wasn't intentionally violating the gag order were the hightlights of the day.
