And? Are we supposed to be linking enjoyment of pornography with serial murder? If that were in ANY way true we'd all be dead because pretty much everybody enjoys porn, not everybody becomes a murderer or rapist. Could bury you with science but it'd be like proving to you the Sun is bright - not worth the effort.

But please, by all means keep railing against pornography. As with gun control rhetoric, more they talk about banning guns, more people buy guns. More they rail against porn, more popular porn becomes. :)

No.

You're supposed to STOP equating PORN with MASTURBATION, and tell your compadres to stop making the idiotic claim that "without porn, we'll have more serial rapists".

You have yet to prove your point

Keep trying

She just thought she had a point.

Or not. As there's no 'point' to 'prove.' The OP premise is the same ignorant nonsense the social right has been propagating for decades. And for decades the social right has been frustrated by the fact that pornography is a form of expression entitled to Constitutional protections, and immune from legislative prohibitions.

Consequently the OP and other social conservatives seek to contrive inane, ridiculous lies such as pornography is 'linked' to 'serial killers,' or other similar demagoguery and fear-mongering.

It's because they love freedumb...

No, my premise is exactly what I said my premise was at the outset, and about 15 times since then.

My premise is that depraved progressive nutbags are lying through their teeth when they say that exposure to porn and addiction to porn reduces the likelihood that perverts will become rapists and murderers.

Porn is not an innoculation against rape and murder...don't let any wigged out, porn-addicted progressive nutbag convince you otherwise.

If someone is whacking off 15 x a day in front of their computer, they are every bit as likely as anyone else (and more likely than many) to be a threat to women and children.

If someone's getting off 15 times a day they're not a threat to anyone but themselves. :) You're whole line of thought is one big hyperbole and thus not anything serious or to be respected.

Actually, no.

Because I never said that reading porn makes people killers.

What I said, and what this thread is highlighting, is that porn DOES NOT prevent people from becoming depraved, psychotic, serial rapists and killers.

I wouldn't be surprised if something's going on neurologically with people who become murderers, probably rapists too. Some shortfall or defect in the brain responsible for empathy. Some research into this has suggested when children are raised without pets, they lack this empathy, and correlary evidence states most serial murderers didn't have pets growing up. Extending the logic railing against porn, we should make pets mandatory for every child. Not like there's a shortage of available animals.

Meanwhile, scientific studies have conclusively demonstrated that porn does not increase, but rather decreases, sexual crimes in every study that's been conducted looking into it. One such study is available here:
Pacific Center for Sex and Society - Pornography Public Acceptance and Sex Related Crime A Review

"Abstract:

A vocal segment of the population has serious concerns about the effect of pornography in society and challenges its public use and acceptance. This manuscript reviews the major issues associated with the availability of sexually explicit material. It has been found everywhere scientifically investigated that as pornography has increased in availability, sex crimes have either decreased or not increased. It is further been found that sexual erotica has not only wide spread personal acceptance and use but general tolerance for its availability to adults. This attitude is seen by both men and women and not only in urban communities but also in reputed conservative ones as well. Further this finding holds nationally in the United States and in widely different countries around the world. Indeed, no country where this matter has been scientifically studied has yet been found to think pornography ought be restricted from adults. The only consistent finding is that adults prefer to have the material restricted from children’s production or use."

As to the pets thing, most pet dogs and cats live only about a dozen years or so. So children raised with pets will experience death and loss of a loved one early in their development. Perhaps when that childhood experience is missing, lack of empathy is compounded making it easier to murder someone since you have no appreciation of what that makes people feel like never having experienced it themselves?

These guys were way beyond porn. The media turned Dahmer's craziness into a racist issue and sure enough after conviction the prison system managed to place him in an unguarded weight room with a black maniac who beat his head into a pulp.So much for liberal justice. Bundy would have made a deal to locate the areas where he dumped his victims in exchange for another year of life. I think the authorities should have taken him up on the offer just to give closure to the victim's families. As a kid I always hated clowns. Gacy was the ultimate killer clown. He even became an artist in prison drawing clowns. Who would want a Gacy clown hanging on his wall but no accounting for pop-culture.

The connection between porn and killers or rapists is exactly the same as drinking water is a connection to killers and rapists. It is well known that 100% of serial killers and all rapists drank water some shortly before committing their crimes.

And finally, did you stop to think about the Catholic Church, and their ongoing problem with Priests raping young boys? Did you stop to think it might have something to do with sexual repression?

There is a far worse problem and that's of female teachers raping school children. Time to purge our schools of women and bring in male teachers in order to protect the children.
:cuckoo:

All serial killers have a perverted sexual appetite and a strange connection between violence and sexual pleasure. It develops early in life (read Unkotare) and is fed by the objectifying view of women and men that pornography promotes.
That pornography, and the progressive bloc, promotes.

Glad that NO conservatives view porn. Libs and their wacky issues!

Many of the people on your list were Satanists, KG. That is the missing link. Not porn. Satanism. Satanists are serial killers because human sacrifice to Satan is not a one time event. It is continual. Look up these names and google the link to satanism on youtube. You'll be surprised how many are tied to the occult. Berkowitz, Ramirez, Gacey, Ed Gein, Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer were all Satanists though their involvment with it didn't come out in their trials - most of them anyhow. The others you mentioned were most likely into some form of the occult as well. It goes with the territory.
Oh, yeah. Christians are the good guys. They are never mentally ill. They never do any harm. Uh huh.

:cuckoo:

Here's an attempt to list all the female teacher arrests for sexual assaults against their students. A taste:

Alison Mosbeck, 33: History teacher at Dueitt Middle School in the Spring, Texas, school district was arrested Oct. 26, 2007, for allegedly having intercourse at least three times with one of her students, a 14-year-old boy. The mother of one of the students’ friends saw text messages from Mosbeck on the student’s cellphone and alerted authorities

Alison Peck, 23: Former teacher at Greenfield High School in Greenfield, Mo., was charged May 22, 2009, in Green County with statuatory rape after convincing two friends to help her spend a night at a motel in Springfield with a 16-year-old boy who used to be her student.

So? If these monsters also enjoyed eggs on toast does that mean people that enjoy eggs on toast are more likely to be serial killers? Not hardly.

Oh..the point.

The point is that when people say that porn is acceptable, they're full of shit.

Clearly you have an issue with porn but why should you get to dictate what adults do with their free time? It's really none of business actually. It may be not acceptable to you but this a free society and people should have a choice if they wish to view porn or not. We don't need you or the government making those choices for us.

The problem with porn is that the industry itself spreads disease and and abuses women and children. It uses money paid by people who ALSO engage in abusive, illegal behavior and then pays people to lobby for legislation that relaxes the restrictions on those activities.

But that's not exactly what I'm arguing in this thread. My point in this thread isn't that you shouldn't look at porn. I don't give a shit if you look at porn.

My point is that the lunatics who say we must have porn or we'll have more serial rapists are lying sacks of shit.
Let's make a comparison here. With the pro-gun argument, we are told that it is only the crazies who abuse the right to own a firearm, and that we shouldn't take gun rights away from everyone just because of the minority who are crazy and go out and shoot someone without a valid reason.

Here were have the same thing: millions of people watching porn and not going out and raping, abusing, molesting or killing anyone. So the same crowd who demands that they not lose their 2nd Amendment right to own a gun do think that the entire population should lose their right to watch porn because of the crazies.

The idea that children are abused by the porn industry is misleading, a red herring. The abuse of children by pedophiles is a completely different issue than pornography for adults who are not looking at child porn. The idea that women are abused is also, in general, a red herring: the legal age to do porn is 18, an adult in US society. Young men go to war and lose their lives at 18. Their choice to join up. Young women have the choice to go into the porn industry or not: they are of legal age.

Get some therapy.

Just from a minute of searching.

Story #1
:

When asked Friday to describe his relationship with Brianne Altice, the teenage boy said she was his "teacher with benefits."

On the stand during a preliminary hearing for the former Davis High School teacher, the now 18-year-old gave graphic details about how he went from being Altice’s student to allegedly having sex with the woman in his Farmington home.

The 35-year-old woman is charged in Farmington’s 2nd District Court with four counts of first-degree felony rape and two counts of first-degree felony forcible sodomy — accused of having sexual relationships with two of her former students.
Story #2:

A former Clearfield High School agriculture teacher charged with sexually abusing a 17-year-old student has taken a plea deal.

Gaile Kristine Supp, 24, was charged in April 2013 with object rape, a first-degree felony, in 2nd District Court. The student told investigators she went to Supp's West Haven home to get help with homework. Instead, her teacher showed her a sexually explicit movie and sexually assaulted her, according to a probable cause statement.

Story #3:

Another day, another case in Bucks County of a boy being sexually molested by a woman.

On Monday, Bethann Lucy Wagner, 26, of Middletown, is alleged to have poured vodka into the mouth of a 13-year-old boy before making her move on him. She’s charged with rape, statutory sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault.
