All serial killers have a perverted sexual appetite and a strange connection between violence and sexual pleasure. It develops early in life (read Unkotare) and is fed by the objectifying view of women and men that pornography promotes.
Or is it their interest in pornography fed by their appetite for sexual acts they can't express in real life? It's strictly a horse/cart thing and while the point of view presented here has intuitive appeal, there's no strong consensus that pornographic fantasy encourages real violence. Some people argue it's an outlet that diffuses unacceptable urges. I'm not sure I buy that, but it's not as clear cut as it first seems.
Pornography is not a healthy form of entertainment in general, not to mention that most of the people involved in the business of it are sad individuals would should have sought psychological counseling.
There's nothing good in it, truly. And yes, I have seen my share, but stopped many years ago as I eventually saw nothing but damaged people who were someone's daughter.
I tend to agree. There are many good arguments against porn. I'm merely taking issue with the correlation in the OP. It doesn't really hold water.
The only point the correlation is meant to illustrate is that watching porn doesn't prevent men from turning into predators.
You can't even say that. The guy who has a sexual attraction to teen girls might well get his fix from porn and so he never tries to pick up teen hitchhikers or teen girls walking on the street. In other words, he never legally qualifies as a predator therefore you have no way of knowing, of testing, whether watching porn has prevented him from becoming a predator.
