Sen. Lindsey Graham Now Under Investigation For Campaign Finance Crimes, Ties To Russians

Where did Lindsey get his campaign money?

What could those “sketchy things” have been? Well, no one here at DC Tribune has contacts inside the Democratic Coalition, but I’ve done plenty of analysis myself if you’ve been following me here, and the first example of a place to look would be at the $800,000 that Graham’s political action committee took from Len Blavatnik, a citizen of the US and UK who emigrated from the USSR in the 1970s with his family and returned to Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Blavatnik is the business partner of Viktor Vekselberg in Rusal, the world’s second-largest aluminum manufacturer, which was founded by Oleg Deripaska. Do those names sound familiar? They should by now. Vekselberg is the Russian billionaire who was discovered in May to have been funneling secret payments to former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen through the same shell company that Cohen set up to disburse payments to Trump’s mistresses, Essential Consultants. Deripaska is the Putin ally who worked with former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort to lobby the United States in efforts that would benefit Putin’s Kremlin. Toward the middle of Manafort’s first trial, it was discovered that Deripaska had loaned him ten million dollars in an unsecured contract.

Len Blavatnik is a US citizen and his contributions to Graham’s PAC would not be illegal if 100 percent of the money could be proven to have come from American income. But if any of that almost one million dollars he sent to Graham came from Rusal, it would look more than “sketchy” — it would be a blatant campaign finance violation.

Interesting possibility. I guess we'll soon learn the facts. What do you think?

I am not hearing this anywhere else, so I would be careful with this article. As we know Lindsey Graham & John McCain were very close friends so it would really surprise me if this was true. Lindsey Graham has no love for Russia and has often been very outspoken about it.
Sen. Lindsey Graham: Trump firing Robert Mueller 'probably' would be impeachable offense

Remember that Joint cyber security union that Trump proposed to Vladimir Putin--:auiqs.jpg:
This is what Lindsey Graham had to say about it.

President Trump said Sunday that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the creation of a “Cyber Security” unit to prevent future Election Day meddling — a proposal quickly slammed by both sides of the political aisle as dangerous and premature.Tweeting about his two-hour meeting with Putin at the G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, over the weekend Trump said it is time to build a “constructive” relationship with the superpower.
“Putin & I discussed forming an impenetrable Cyber Security unit so that election hacking, & many other negative things will be guarded and safe,” he said.
Three top Republicans, Sens. John McCain (Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (SC) and Marco Rubio (Fla.), scoffed at the proposal. “It’s not the dumbest idea I have ever heard, but it’s pretty close,” Graham told NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

/----/ This is called payback for Graham defending Kavanaugh.

Why shouldn't he defend Kavanaugh? What has Justice Kavanaugh. done?
/---/ Judge Kavanaugh was appointed by Trump. A class C felony in libtards' mind.

No you stupid dolt. Because Kavenaugh lied to the Senate on a number of issues from his past, and not just his attitutde towards women. Kavenaugh repeatedly lied throughout his testimony, displays fits of temper and a lack of respect for Democratic Senators, was openly partisan, and generally demonstrated he was unfit for the office to which he was appointed.

And there is substantial evidence that his behaviour towards women was appalling.

ROFL! You will believe anything. That's all you proved. The evidence shows that whole Balsey Ford thing was nothing but a blatant smear campaign.

She had zero evidence. Nada. Zip. None. You just confirmed exactly what I said: "guilty until proven innocent."

Did you know this is over 2 months old? And taken nearly word for word from a previous article and that tweet is from Sept 28th??

Lindsey Graham Under Investigation By Coalition Group For Campaign Violations And His Ties To Russia · US National News

Not only that, but ya'll would have to go after several GOP senators, including McConnell, Rubio, Walker, Kasich and McCain.

going back to August 2017 when it was revealed that GOP Senators received millions of dollars in funding from a Russian-linked oligarch:

Dallas News: GOP campaigns took $7.35 million from oligarch linked to Russia

Donald Trump and the political action committees for Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, Lindsey Graham, John Kasich and John McCain accepted $7.35 million in contributions from a Ukrainian-born oligarch who is the business partner of two of Russian president Vladimir Putin’s favorite oligarchs and a Russian government bank.

During the 2015-2016 election season, Ukrainian-born billionaire Leonard “Len” Blavatnik contributed $6.35 million to leading Republican candidates and incumbent senators. Mitch McConnell was the top recipient of Blavatnik’s donations, collecting $2.5 million for his GOP Senate Leadership Fund under the names of two of Blavatnik’s holding companies, Access Industries and AI Altep Holdings, according to Federal Election Commission documents and OpenSecrets.org.

And here's the link to the full article....

Russian-linked donations to GOP Senators could explain their rush to confirm Kavanaugh

I swear...….if you can't pin Russia on Trump, you'll pin it on somebody, anybody.....but Clinton :bang3:

So, we're not draining the swamp now?

She had zero evidence. Nada. Zip. None. You just confirmed exactly what I said: "guilty until proven innocent."

The most ironic post of the year, from a guy who believes every lie that spews from Trump's mouth.

There is EVIDENCE that Kavenaiugh lied to the Senate about his work for the Bush Administration.

There is absolutely NO evidence that this was a smear campaign at all. That Dr. Ford was telling anything but the truth. But it didn't matter if the Senators knew Kavenaugh lied to them or not because they still voted for him, lies and all.

I do find it incredibly ironic/karmic, that the architect of attacking Bill Clinton over his sexual improprieties, which absolutely defines a "smear campaign" which carries on to this day. There is absolutely no evidence that Bill Clinton ever raped anyone, and that includes Anita Broaddrick, who denied Clinton raped her, worked on his various campaigns over the years after this purported rape, and who only recanted her affidavit to that effect after Ken Starr and the FBI threatened to charge her with perjury and throw her in jail if she didn't, and offered her immunity to prosecution if she did, so nobody with any sense believes that allegation wasn't coerced.

In fact, in every one of the situations where Bill behaved badly with these women, when they said "No", he stopped. Broaddrick didn't say know but going home with a mouse on her lip from rough sex, she told both her husband and her boyfriend that she was "raped" to cover her infidelities at the time. The fact that she attended events with him and worked on his various campaigns tells you there was no rape. Years later, when she had divorced the husband and married the boyfriend and had no reason to lie, she told the truth in her affidavit, only to have the Republican Party force her to change her story.

But truly A$$pat, you have no ability whatsoever to discern what is truth and what is lies, and you demonstrate that daily because you continue to spout Trump's lies and call them "truth". You wouldn't know the truth even if it jumped up and slapped you in the face.

I guess regardless of the facts many are still drinking the kool aid and puffing on their bongs.
