Do you think Scotland will arrange a referendum now that the English handed the place to the goons? And if yes, what outcome of the Scottish referendum would be your bet?

Yes there is already talk about Scotland becoming independent permanently now. The United Kingdom may soon become Those Who Celebrate Boxing Day Wit a Spot 'O Tea.

They already agreed not to do that once. Why should they vote for something that's failed?
Because things are dramatically different now, just months after the vote

If Scotland votes to be not only independent but also an Europe Union member before the uk negotiates its leave in the next two years, then will Scotland remain an EU member?

My understanding is 'no'.

If Scotland votes to be independent, it votes to get shot of the UK in political terms. It then becomes its own 'standalone' nation.

By virtue of currently being a part of the UK, they're politically subject to decisions made as to its future. BREXIT applies to them, right now, every bit as much as any other part of the UK. So, the 'divorce' is in effect from the EU.

After a period of time, when, let's say, they do win independence, then if they want to join the EU, they must apply for it. Maybe the EU will say 'yes'. But they may well decide 'no' and refuse them their successful application.

The EU is making special provisions for Scotland and NI to join the EU without much red tape.

Without a doubt Scotland will demand a new vote.

And when that fails they'll demand another.

One way or the other, Scotland is as out of The EU as The UK and, when they want back in, their application will be given a place in the queue. Of course there are many others ahead of them, especially Turkey which is jonesing to ship a couple of million refugees to anyplace that is not Turkey. Of course if they cut the line and are admitted before the Turks then they become a target zone.

But I think they're dumb enough to go for that.

"It's now much more plausible that other member states would agree to amend the Treaties to transfer the UK's membership in the EU (ed.) to Scotland."

Reality Check: Could Scotland inherit the UK's EU membership? - BBC News

Not being intimately familiar with the rules I cannot say that couldn't happen. But clearly so long as Scotland is part of The United Kingdom it cannot. Should Scotland quickly organize a referendum and vote "out" prior to The UK exiting the EU then it's plausible. But to apply while part of the UK with the UK still in - dubious at best.

North Sea oil is running out quickly and it seems doubtful Scotland could export enough haggis to make up the lot. But perhaps they could rush additional whisky into production and sell it though to make it worth anything takes years, not hours. But would not Germany lend them money? I mean without demanding the new nation be re-named "Greeceland"?

Many of the non-English owned industries in England/Wales will move to Scotland to remain in the EU market. This is a great opportunity for Scotland.

Indeed, provided Scotland can overcome it's rampant "NIMBYism" that has kept many businesses from giving that more than a casual look. EU environmentalism is one of the strongest things appealing to today's Scots.

They will certainly try. Scotland voted 62 to 38 to stay in the EU. In 2014, when the Yes, Scotland independence referendum was voted on, it lost by a large margin partially due to the fact that Scotland would not be part of the EU. So yes. this referendum does seem likely.

A couple of years back a part of Hadrian's wall was in disrepair and there was a move to tear it down and put in some housing.

It was defeated to the dismay of people in dire need of better housing.

Same people today are singing a different tune. I wonder why!

Scotland will vote for independence.

.
Northern Ireland's Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has called for a border poll on a united Ireland, after the UK has voted to leave the EU. A united Ireland, and exit of Scotland from Great Britain would create a not so great Great Britain.

No, the EU would not except Scotland as an EU member until Britain exits. British officials have made some comments that lead you to believe that they intend to drag their feet in negotiating an EU exit. Brussels has made it clear that if Britain intends to exit the EU, they want it done without delay. They also made it clear that the terms of exit will be harsh. The EU really has no choice here. There has been a lot of talk from France about an exit. If France follows Britain, this could lead to a collapse of the EU. The economy fallout would be worldwide and could lead to a worse recession than 2007.
