And the FISA warrant did in fact say that the one renewal was PARTIALLY based on the Steel dossier funded by both republican and Democrat opposition research.

Trump likely had meetings with KGB agents in the 80s, and should have been under constant surveillance, to what degree it is arguable, especially considering at times he was less political. However, his attacks on Reagan right after his trip to the Soviet Union could have set off a few red lights.

Some stuff (financial) may have been too long ago to file charges.
