White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Wednesday that House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) is asking Attorney General Bill Barr to "break the law" by asking for documents they have no legal authority to. Sanders said Nadler is acting absurd and should be "embarrassed" for his behavior.

Nadler knows that Barr can't give up an unredacted report. Nadler can't impeach Trump, that only makes Trump stronger. Nadler is looking for political talking points, since they have to steer clear of any new democrat policies before 2020. So its subpoena, contempt, etc. Nothing to see here, its just politics.

As you say. Nadler is an attorney and knows Barr can't release the unredacted report. Barr won't break the law to do so either.
