Salon: Bolt Action Rifles are Military Grade Killing Machines, Ban Them

There are only two types of "gun control" people: the ignorant, and the dishonest. The ignorant don't know there is no correlation between private gun ownership and crime, and the dishonest know it's really about disarming citizens so they can't resist Communism.

To gun-control advocates:

When are you going to cut your dicks off to prevent rape?
we have a Second Amendment and should have no security problems in our free States.
Wrong.

No amendment or law can eliminate security problems.

The only way to eliminate security problems is too disarm the people and commence genocide as all those socialist states do.
Not into the martial Arts? We have a Second Amendment and should have no security problems from the unorganized militia.

I have absolutely zero problem with a person owning a bolt action rifle.

Not only are they more accurate than semi automatics, but it takes a lot longer than 30 seconds to throw 30 rounds downrange. If we had only bolt action rifles, mass shootings would be a thing of the past.
Lol
Stay in your lane.... bud

I wouldn't go that far, if all semi-autos were banned, the crazies would switch to pump-action shot-guns.

Wrong...

Cumbria....Britain......13 dead, pump action shotgun and bolt action rifle...it is the gun free zone target that allows for the killing, not the gun.

Texas shooting....10 dead, pump action shotgun, revolver...

Texas school shooter used shotgun, pistol in deadly assault

used two firearms: a shotgun and .38 caliber revolver, both of which he got from his father. Ten were left dead, mostly students.

You sure Charles Whitman shot and killed 16 people and wounded 31 others using primarly a bolt action rifle someone who knows how to shoot can be just as deadly with a bolt action rifle as anyone with an AR-15 or similar type rifle.

Okay, so according to you guys, if semi automatic rifles are banned, the crazies are just gonna shift to pump action shotguns and lever action rifles? Well, considering that shotguns have a much shorter range than rifles, as well as the fact that they don't carry that many rounds, you might still have a few people killed, but the body count would be much less than if it was an AR-15 with a 30 round mag.

As far as using a lever action rifle? Again, they don't hold nearly as many rounds, and while a person who practices quite a bit with one MIGHT become proficient enough to do a mass shooting, your average person wouldn't. To get good enough to throw a lot of rounds down range in a short amount of time requires a lot of practice. Yes..................I've seen some of the YouTube videos showing professionals who are very good at what they do, but I can assure you.......they didn't just pick up the weapon and start throwing high amounts of lead down range. There was a lot of practice that came first.
lol
Someone else’s firearm ownership is none of your fucking business you fucking retard

Once again no law eliminates security problems.

The second applies to individual citizens not militia.

no, it doesn't. there are no individual terms in our Second Amendment. And we should have no security problems in our free States, that is why we have Government.

Pump action shotguns.....would kill just as many people, they would simply change targets ......

And we don't base our Rights on wether or not a few people will abuse them.....11 people committed mass public shootings in 2017, 117 people were killed....rifles were used to kill 403 people in total that year.......there are close to 600 million guns in private hands..... close to 8 million AR-15 rifles........cars kill 38,000 people in 2017, yet you don't call for a ban on those...

Knives kill more people each and every year than all rifles do, not just AR-15 rifles....why won't you ban those?

Expanded Homicide Data Table 8

Rifles...still kill fewer people each year than knives... 403

Knives.....1,591

Hands and feet......696

Clubs.....467

You have no logic to back your call for banning these rifles and magazines.....you make no sense.

Your average pump shotgun used for hunting holds around 3 shells before needing to be reloaded. If you have a riot shotgun, they can have 6 to 10 shells before needing to be reloaded. There is also the fact that shot doesn't travel near as far as a rifle bullet.

Sorry, but reloading after a max of 10 shots is a lot less harmful than having 30 shots before reloading.

Sorry, actual research doesn't support you.....the target and time in the gun free zone determine deaths, not the weapon......switching from one shotgun to another, or getting an extended tube on the shotgun, as well as reloading as you shoot will allow a killer to kill lots of people.....

And again, the 12 people who abused their guns in mass public shootings do not dictate wether law abiding gun owners in the hundreds of millions get to own and keep those weapons.

13 people killed in the Navy Yard shooting with a shotgun.....different location, like a school, and the killer will kill more people.....with one shotgun or a couple...reloading as they are shooting.

Which applies strictly to individuals

Most mass shootings are committed with, and most people who die in a mass shooting are murdered with, handguns.
Well, considering that shotguns have a much shorter range than rifles, as well as the fact that they don't carry that many rounds, you might still have a few people killed...
Most mass shootings take place well within the effective range of a shotgun; shotguns have the capacity to kill more than one person per round, and can be loaded with as many as 40 rounds.

You argue form ignorance.

They do argue from ignorance but no matter....gun grabbing is exceptionally unpopular in recent years and especially since Sandy Hook. Since then, they cant keep guns on the shelves and Congress could not possibly be any less interested!:2up:

Got a link to a shotgun that has 40 rounds? All the ones that I've been able to find carried anywhere from 3 to 10 rounds, with 10 being the max.

I carried an Ithaca 37 8-shot trench gun in Vietnam.....9 .00 (.32 caliber) pellets in each shell...times 8 slam fired with a duck-bill....That's 72 rounds by comparison in less than 4 seconds....show me a full-auto M-16 that can keep up with my Ithaca.

Is that gun you carried in Vietnam legal for civilians to use?
