Fact is, we rarely throw out incumbants if their party hasn't already held the White House for a while. Most people know that Obama inherited a mess.

To put it another way- 69 million people voted for Obama last time. I haven't heard one of them say, "Man, I can't wait to go out and vote for Romney". I know a few McCain voters who will not vote for Romney under any circumstances. I know I won't.

Your hysteria is noted. Americans DO pay for a lot of things by threat of force as taxes that if you do not pay may cause seisure of property. In most states...if not all by now one must have auto insurance...even if they may drive without ever causing an accident. Unlike the exceedingly great drivers that will never draw a dime from the auto insurance pool EVERYONE eventually will need to make use of the healthcare system....just as people that walk or ride bicyles or take public transportation eventually use roads or services that require roads.

I'll give you that in many localities "The US Constitution" is on the curriculum but I doubt even fresh out of HS few could recite it. Opinion? Ya sure but looking at replies such as yours underlines my belief. I guess my most potent evidence that The Constitution is subject to "interpretation" let alone ignorance is the existance of the third branch of government...The Supreme Court.

And that is right AFTER the 9th Amendment which says, "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

That in plain language is saying that the powers enumerated in the Constitution for the 3 branches of government can NOT be used to deny or disparage...USURP all other rights that are retained by us. Those rights are EVERYTHING that is not specifically enumerated in the constitution as a power of a branch of government.

The mandating of the purchase IS constitutional IF the people of the state accept it AND it doesn't violate either the State's or the US constitutions.

There is NOTHING in the US Constitution that authorizes the Congress, President OR the Supreme Court to FORCE citizens to purchase anything.

There IS however plenty the restricts them from doing so since the powers they have are plainly laid out.

The Supreme Court's ONLY job is to make sure that all courts below it don't violate the constitution AS WRITTEN when deciding cases and resolve cases between states and ministries.

NOT interpret the Constitution!

As a matter of fact, the founders viewed the SC as the least powerful and subordinate to the other 2 branches.

Have a go at the Federalist Papers if you want to know what the founders vision for our federal government and it's authority was.

It was NOT to force people to buy a product against their will OR tax payers to fund that purchase!
